I'm to soft, Jamie thought. He was say on the bottom bunk, his head in his hands.

"Jamie?"

"Yes Lottie?"

"Are you... Ok?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Leave me alone."

He heard a small sob from the top bunk. Hearing Lottie cry was necessary. He had to protect Ellie. He heard deep breathing from the bunk above. He knew Lottie was asleep now. He slid out of his bed, careful not to step on the creaky floorboards.

"Jamie?"

"What?"

"Where are you going?"

"The restroom."

"Sorry."

Jamie ignored her and walked into the tiny bathroom. He opened the window, breathing in the fresh farm air. He slid out, through the window, his intense Partizan training was very handy. He took one last look back at the tiny bathroom. Lottie was in there, all alone, expecting him to be there. He shook the thought from his head. Jamie rushed to the large wall, climbing up to the top and jumping, landing feet first like an elegant cat. He ran. Back to rosewood. He wouldn't stop.
