Chapter 57

Xyzzy'z POV

I awkwardly sat and looked around. "Good morning?"

Hindi manlang sila gumalaw nang batiin ko sila. Nakatingin lang sila sa 'kin at hindi maintindihan ang mga mukha pero I know na galit sila.

"Uhm... let's eat." I just said again and about to get some foods but...

"Really Xyzzy? That's all that you'll say?" Rain sarcastically said.

I sighed. "Okay. I'm sorry boys if I wasn't able to do you breakfast. Hindi namin namalayan ang oras-"

"It's not about that goddamn breakfast."

Agad akong natigilan nang sabihin 'yon ni Zahir. It's like, that was the Zahir I first met.

"Can't you see that there's also us?! Hindi lang yung gagong Ken na 'yon." Galit niyang sabi.

Okay. Last night, Ken brought me out on a picnic date and it ended up as a sleepover on the grass. Kaninang madaling araw na 'ko nakauwi rito at nakatulog uli ako. Yesterday was Friday at halos dalawang lingo na rin akong nililigawan ni Ken so I thought okay lang naman. But I forgot na hindi nila gusto si Ken.

"You spend more time with that guy." Malumanay na sabi ni Breii. "You would always remind us about being close with our girls, can't we do the same?"

I tightly closed my eyes and stared at him. "I didn't mean to fall asleep last night."

"Yeah? Like forgetting about us when you are with him most of the times. Sure you didn't mean." Aki shot back.

That's it.

"Sobrang napapabayaan ko ba kayo ha?" I angrily asked. "All I thought naturuan ko na kayo. You can make foods on your own naman 'di ba? So ano pa ba?"

Lahat sila seryosong nakatingin lang sa 'kin pero si Zahir at Rain ang halatang naiinis.

"Xy, noong kami nagkaroon na ng mga girlfriends or what, nagbago ba kami sa'yo?" Mahinang na sabi ni Zaine. "I think, we even love you more than them."

"Ate?" Malambing na tawag ni Raven. "Why are you distant and cold?"

Biglang namuo ang luha ko nang marinig ko 'yon. They're right. Honestly, simula nang lumapit na yung loob ko kay Ken inilayo ko ang sarili ko sa kanila. I don't know... maybe because of him.

"You barely talk to us... and casual unlike before." He added.

"If you hate me, 'wag mong idamay sila Raven." Brile coldly said and faced me.

It made me look away.

He stood and fixed his shirt. "But if spending more time with him is what you really want, then we'll just buy you pills then."

Naglakad na siya paalis pero agad din akong tumayo at hinila siya paharap sa 'kin. "Ano na naman ba?!" Galit na galit kong sigaw sa kanya.

I am doing my best not to cry in anger!

He's looking back at me like saying how unbelievable I am.

"Really? Really Xyzzy? Putang ina! Sobrang nag-enjoy ka ba sa kanya?"

"Wala kang pakialam sa 'kin!" Galit na galit kong sigaw sa kanya. "Kahit pa makipag-sex ako sa kung kani kanino diyan ano ba'ng pakialam mo?"

"PUTANG INA!"

I screamed in shock when he punched the vase away! I hate this! I look like a shit!

"Wala ka kasing pakialam kahit ang sakit sakit na eh! You don't know how idiot I can become just know if you are having sex with that guy!" He said on top of his lungs. "I follow you everywhere! Tang ina! That Ken even knows! Every time he'll suddenly hug you or kiss you... puta sinasadya niya kasi nakikita niyang nakikita ko! He's so good in making my tears fall!"

I lost my words after hearing those. Parang nakalimutan ko na galit na galit ako sa kanya. He was always there.

"Ano?! Hindi porket gago ako hindi ako nasasaktan! It's too much." He whispered and ran upstairs.

"You never saw..."

I turned around to see them after hearing Breii's words.

"But since the night you told him you'll never love him, every night Xyzzy on the terrace, you'll see him with some tears." He smirked. "I don't even know why papa let him stay here despite of that."

I look down. I surely cannot take his words.

"Kating kati na 'kong makauwi si Brile. I want him away from you." He added and went upstairs.

I tiredly sat on a chair and let my tears fall. Shit! Why all of these are happening?

Agad akong napatingin sa bintana ng kwarto ko nang marinig kong may kumatok do'n. Like hell, my room's on the second floor. Namumulto ba 'ko?

I was about to go out of the room when Ken's half body showed on the window.

Naiinis kong binuksan yung bintana at hinayaan siyang makapasok.

"Ano ba Ken? Tinakot mo pa 'ko!" Naiinis kong sabi.

Ano ba naman kasi yung nagmumukmok ako dito sa kwarto tapos gano'n.

"Paano ka nakaayat?" Tanong ko.

Umupo naman siya sa bed at ngumiti. "Easy babe. I was about to break your window's lock pero baka bigla kang sumigaw."

"Pwede naman kasing sa front door 'di ba?"

"Gusto mo pang nagkagulo kami. Well, wala naman yung anim eh. Umalis. It's only that Brile who's here." He laughs. "Why weren't you answering my calls? Kaninang umaga pa 'yon."

"Ano'ng oras na ba?" Tanong ko at umupo sa may sofa.

"17:02."

Oh my god. I didn't eat my lunch yet.

"Did you just say na wala yung anim na Mendoza?"

"Yeah?"

"How'd you know?"

He smiled. "I won't tell unless you'll come near me."

Umirap nalang ako at tumabi sa kanya sa bed bago humiga ng tuluyan sa legs niya.

He started playing with my hair... and that makes me wanna go to sleep.

"I was outside since 9 in the morning. I've been calling you because I want to see you. Ayoko namang basta kumatok lang sa pinto na ang haharap sa 'kin mga Mendoza. So I waited until I saw the six of them finding their way out. That's the time I climbed your wall." He told me that like a bed time story.

"Naiwan ko yung phone ko sa banyo kaninang naligo ako kaninang umaga. I'm sorry." I just said and closed my eyes.

"Don't sleep. I know hindi ka pa kumain and so am I. Let's eat." Malambing niyang sabi bago niya 'ko buhatin patayo.

"Okay. Pero sa baba nalang? Ayokong lumabas."

He nodded and walked outside with me.

Huli na nang maalala ko na anim na Mendoza lang ang umalis. Yung pang pito nasa harap ng pinto ko, nakatingin sa 'min ni Ken.
