Chapter 64

"Hi." I greeted with my sweet smile but his is sweeter.

"Hello my bab." He chuckled opened his car's door.

I laughed and went inside the car. "I told you stop calling me that." I said once he got in.

"What? Babu? My babu? It's cute though." He laughed and started driving.

I'm just so happy. I don't know. Maybe because me and Brile are already in good terms.

"Where are they?"

I turned to look at him and asked 'huh'. And damn, he's just so good looking.

"The Mendoza."

"Well, they went to where they wanted to go." I answered.

Of course, I had to let them go first before I could even call Ken.

"You are perfect with that white dress. How much more with a wedding dress?" he winks at me.

I chuckled. "Don't, Kennedy."

"Don't want?" He mocks with a wide smile.

"Don't be like that." I giggled. "Don't be too charming."

He reached my hand and held it 'til we got into his penthouse.

"What is about this Ken?" I asked while we are riding the elevator.

He shrugs his shoulder. "I don't know."

I playfully slapped his arm and we both laughed when he pulled me to his chest. "It's something I don't even know if you will like but I want them for you."

I rolled my eyes. "And what are those?"

"You ask too much." He rolls his eyes and pulls me gently out of the elevator.

Okay. Ayoko sanang manibago dahil penthouse din 'to ni bakla. Yes they share. But there is something changed. It's more of like, organized.

We reached the living area and the sofa is just so full of paper bags of known brands of clothes... designer clothes, everything luxurious. On the floor... oh god... boxes of foot wears and who knows how expensive they are.

"You like those?"

I immediately faced him with my eyes widely open. "What? What are you trying to say?"

"I know hindi ka papayag. But I bought those all for you." He looked away. "Wala. I just wanna show you the fine things in life that you deserve."

Hindi pa 'ko nakakapagsalita may isinuot na naman siyang necklace sa 'kin na may pendant na rose.

I looked at it and the diamond shines even more.

"You don't have to do these and give those." I whispered.

"I want the finest things for you." He cups my face and kissed my forehead.

But why did I felt his kiss?

"Babu... can you be my girlfriend now?"

My heart's starting to pound... it's because his image is popping. Why?

I shoved the thought away and nodded at Ken. "Of course Ken... yes my bab."

"I love you bab."

His smile right now is the most beautiful but his crying eyes are in my mind. And I found myself kissing Ken.

"Bakla! Ano na? payag kana bang pumunta sa birthday ko?"

I looked at Ken and he's just smiling.

Okay. We're eating lunch when Andrei arrived and here he is... talking 'bout his birthday party again.

"Bakla naman... pag-iisipan ko sabi." I said.

He sat between me and Ken and pouts. "Okay naman na kayo ni Brile 'di ba?"

I glanced at Ken and shook my head. "Pero sila hindi pa. Hindi ko nga sabi alam ang takbo ng utak ng mga Mendoza eh."

"Hoy nakausap ko sila kanina."

Ken faked a cough and we both looked at him.

"Drei, Mendoza na naman naririnig ko. Don't you wanna hear the good news?" he said and reached for my hand.

I honestly love the feeling of his hand on mine.

"Ano 'yon? Para sa akin yung mga pinapabili mo sa Paris?"

"Paris?" I butted.

"Yeah. Yung mga nasa labas. Don't tell me those are all for Xyzzy." Andeng said and rolled his eyes. "Lalo na yung rose necklace- OH MY GOD!" he screamed like he's seen a ghost when he looked at my neck.

Ken laughs and stood to go behind me, hugs me and kissed my neck. "It looks so pretty on my bab right?"

Agad na nagmaktol si bakla at tumalon talon pa. jusko.

"Akala ko akin! Narinig kitang kausap si tita eh! I thought ako i-surprise mo. I hate you na cousin!"

Mukha siyang tanga sa totoo lang.

"Pabigay bigay ng ganyan. Jowa mo na ba ha? Jowa mo na?" Galit niyang tanong.

Ngumiti lang naman kami ni Ken natawa nang mas magwala siya.

"Ah! May mga boyfriend na best friends ko! Hindi pwede 'yon ayoko pa maging ninang!"

Agad ko siyang binato ng table napkin nang sabihin niya 'yon.

Ken sat beside me and held my hand. "But bab, it really will be good if you will be there with us."

I closed my eyes for seconds and nodded. "Okay then. Pero promise me na hindi mo papatulan ang kahit sinong Mendoza kapag napikon ka ha? Hindi naman pwedeng hindi ko sila isama. And maganda na ring makapasyal naman sila."

He nodded. "I swear. 'Wag ka lang hihilain ng kung sino sa kanila." He seriously said.

At siya agad ang naisip ko nang marinig ko ang word na 'hila'. Okay. This is new. Why am I thinking about him?

"And Xy, pwede naman nilang dalhin ang girls nila kahit labag sa kalooban ko dahil hindi ko sila masosolo." Umiirap na sabi ni bakla.

"Bakit kasi dapat pang isama ang girls nila?" Ken asked.

"Ken, pinsan. Si Xyzzy at Mave best friends ko. Hindi pwedeng wala ang isa. Eh babae na ng isang Mendoza si Mavie. It would be unfair for the rest kung si Breii lang ang parang pwedeng magdala ng girlfriend." Andrei explain with a bit of sarcasm.  "I'm happy for both of you by the way." He said with a smile and holds our hands.

"Totoo ba 'yan?" I mocked.

"Oo! I never seen my cousin that happy again... and in love." He smiled genuinely this time.

Ken's phone rang and he excused to answer it.

Mas lumpait naman sa 'kin si bakla nang lumayo si Ken at hinawakan ang dalawang kamay ko.

He smiles. "Love, masaya ako para sa inyo kung mahal niyo na talaga ang isa't isa." He sighs. "I hope you are making the right choices."

I looked away. "Nakausap mo si Brile? Ano'ng pinag-usapan niyo?"

"I am not a bad cousin... but I will say, Brile loves you more than any man can."

After hearing those, I suddenly heard his sweet voice, begging for me.

"Drei, bakit pakiramdam ko may nawawala ng parte sa 'kin?" I sadly asked.

"Xyzzy, wala akong kakampihan kung hindi ikaw. Hindi si Ken, hindi si Brile.  I want you to love with all your heart and decide with all your mind. Hindi pwedeng wala ang isa. Hindi mababalanse. But whatever happens, I'm here to wipe your tears... of joys and of sorrows." He smiled. "Nandiyan na si Ken. Aalis na muna ako ha?"

He stood and kissed my cheek.

I am just so lucky to have him.
