Chapter 23

"Please don't change the lock." John rushed out and Smii7y stared at the man in bewilderment before laughing.

"I couldn't do that even if I wanted to idiot." Smii7y laughed. John smiled and walked closer to the younger, engulfing him in a hug.

"I missed you." He pampered and rocked side to side with Smii7y in his arms. Smii7y giggled and returned the hug before melting into his embrace.

"It's only been like 4 or 5 days moron." The younger rolled his eyes playfully before nonetheless hugging him back.

"But it feels like forever.." John nuzzled his face into the crook of his neck and mumbled.

"Okay idiot stop talking." Smii7y chuckles and tries to pry away from the older, when he succeeded he took a long look at the other. He noticed how the male also had bags under his eyes and it pained him to see the older like this because of him. "I'm sorry again."

John only shook his head and smiled brightly at the younger. "No it's okay, I understand why you did what you did Smit~ if I was in your position I probably would've done the same." The older reassured and engulfed Smii7y into his arms again.

"Really?"

"No." John chuckled and said before pulling back a bit to look at shorter's face.

"You have bags under your eyes.. is it because of me?" He asked worriedly causing Smii7y to shake his head.

"Of course not." Smii7y lied and averted his eyes from the older who furrowed his eyebrows, knowing the younger wasn't being truthful. "Yes..."

"I'm so sorry Smii7y~ God I didn't mean to make you cry or anything like that. It's just I was confused and hell I still am and I understand if you don't wanna wait for me, I'll even go out with you although I don't know what I am yet." John said sincerely while staring into the males eyes.

Those words gave Smii7y heart palpitations because all he wanted was to go out with the older, to show how much he loves him without thinking he's off with someone else, to shower him with his care and support. To know that John was his and only his.

But he also knew it was selfish.

John was waiting for the male to say anything but he got nowhere and decided to scan his soon to be lovers face. Taking in how breathtakingly beautiful he is and how he didn't see it the first time they had met, maybe because we got into a fight the first time we met.

He thought and chuckled to himself which brought Smii7y out of his trance. "Is that like your way of asking me out? If you are not comfortable and need to wait longer then I fully understand John, you can take your time I won't ru-"

"Yes, I mean, If you want it to be— you know what yes it is. Smii7y will you go out with me?" The younger froze before malfunctioning and jumping on the older, wrapping his legs around his waist and arms around his neck. John had managed to catch him and put his hands under Smii7y's thighs to hold him up. "So is that a yes?"

Smii7y nodded furiously and gave him a wide childish smile that made the older experience technical difficulties with his heart. John returned it with a fond smile as he looked at his boyfriend. "Of course idiot!"

"Well, will you go on a date with me tonight at 8?"

"He asked you out?" Fitz said over the phone and I smirked at how shocked he was.

"Why is that so surprising?" I asked.

"Because it's John that's why! So is he gay, bi, what? Where is he??" He pushed, the questions only annoying me. I rolled my eyes and continued fixing my hair into a middle part or straighten out a bit but the shit was harder than I thought, so I let the curls just lie on my forehead. John had left earlier saying he needs to buy new clothes for the occasion despite me telling him to just throw on anything. He went into gay panic before dashing towards the door.
