UPDATE ON REWRITE

I know I promised it soon.

I failed that and I'm sorry.

Here's the issues

1. There are characters that weren't mine in the story

While this in and of itself isn't really an issue, I still need to renew permission to use their characters. I have reached out to the creators and am currently awaiting a response

Until then here are some characters you may or may not see in the second version:

Fangs
Charlotte

Axel already played a rather large role in the story as it was and the other two were going to be a much larger part of the story, but like I said, I still need permission. I currently have permission from Axel's creator.

School and Family Emergencies are stopping me

To give you a simplified run down:

All within this past couple years my younger brother was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease having a lot of flare ups. It is a family effort to watch over him and keep him healthy and as his older sister I watch over him a lot because of how frequently these flare ups happen. It is a very attention and time consuming task. I have multiple honors classes and a very rigorous math and chemistry class on top of it. I have been going to therapy due to my own depression and anxiety and a few months ago my father was diagnosed with cancer. This has been very family involved and I'm very sorry for my silence but everything has been one after another and I couldn't do anything but the necessities to live and keep up in school for a while

3. I am nervous about your reactions to the necessary changes and am trying to work the story without killing the original charm

This is going to be very similar, but a much more serious version of the original IDBIP. There will still be the humor that brought its original charm, but I have grown a lot since I first started writing this and so have my skills. While it was very decent, the plot is a mess and characters come and go without warning. The original age of Evie herself doesn't fit her mindset very well. I took large liberties I can not take if I want to make this more story accurate to the actual game. Not to mention the format. While I have no intention of deleting the base of this story, there will be very large changes. I hope you are all okay with this.

4. The lore of the game is now complete

Over the past couple years of writing this, the lore has changed to the point I had to wait for the final game to tell me what was going on and find a way to incorporate it.

5. I need some understanding here please

A reader who I said their character could be in the story around two years ago had recently contacted me with a rather long and angry message about how their character wasn't included in the first book or the few chapters of the second book.

    1. If I had said your character could be in it and was not in the original copy of IDBIP then I'm sorry, he or she will not appear until the series ending if at all. Adding too many characters makes the story unable to flow, and horrendously difficult to follow.

     2. I'm very sorry if this is the case. I didn't understand writing as much at the time and I'm very sorry if I disappointed you. I hope you understand more than this person did.

So, what now?
The lore is complete, and I can write without constantly needing to alter the planned plot. I still need permission from a couple creators. Until I have that permission I will attempt to write the best I can.

Again, I am very, very sorry for such a long silence. I'm sure I have post a pot of readers due to it and I'm sorry for the extremely long wait.
