She ran, feet kissing the rocky ground. Perhaps a little while ago she would have balked at the idea of running so fast, but now she relished the prospect. Those feet were made to travel at speed and light. Breathing steady, heart strong - this girl had to reach the annoying Elf. Gimli nodded in acknowledgment and followed her grueling pace without complaining. Seconds earlier their eyes met, as she passed through his chamber. The dwarf perceived the fact to apprehend clearly and with certainty. Ethir needed him and he had to follow. The Ellon's head bobbed loosely from side to side with each footfall he took and his eyes felt heavy. He was the last one that Ethir summoned most secretly. They bolted down the corridor. Down to the lowest parts of Mirkwood, they quickened their pace to an all-out sprint. Until the reached the Elvenking's cellar, where the oldest wine was kept. (It was the same forsaken room, where the dwarfs and Thorin escaped long years ago.)

Gimli sat down on the stool that was placed in the west part of the cellar. "Lassy, what is the matter?" he quizzed conscious. Some were born good and always fought off the bad. Some were born bad and became good through great effort. Others were born in light and fell to darkness. Others were born in darkness and could not see the light. Gimli was born and raised inside the mines. He was aware of the darkness and the light. He sought the light and was fond of living inside the minds. (Like most of the dwarfs). Yet, malicious and venomous acts he could never understand. He could never accept. He was born to fight the bad. Like Legolas. Like Ethir.

"Alaesa..." Ethir said as she stood in the middle of the cellar "has returned."

Legolas narrowed his gaze tilting his head in confusion. Last night's darkness was dwelling against his existence, making him unhappy. He felt it was his right to know what disturbed his land and family. It was more than just malice, not bad ice, the kind that came as a knife in the back, twisting without tear. In the morning, when all the ghostly feelings were gone he thought it was over. Something new crossed their lives.

Ethir taking a comparatively short time added without giving them time to react "And the Elvenking allowed it!"

"Adar!?" Legolas perplexed leaned against the wall casting a glance towards Ethir, as there was more to the story.

"Laddy, your father did not banish her?" Gimli asked in disbelief.

"That.. he did Gimli," Ellon replied. "Ethir, Why would Adar? And how do you know?" he questioned and had a conscious mind, to some extent of reasoning.

Ethir span around as she was now facing both "I crossed paths with Alaesa outside the Elvenking's Throne Chamber. I grew up surrounded by fire and ash and poison and death. I saw malicious creatures filled with greed. Alaesa sounded the same. She was no longer hiding her act. However, what came next, frustrated and confounded me; was thwarted by creating bewildered confusion. Thranduil assured me that he allowed her to stay. He responded to all my questions. Yet, he was far from the proud and cold Elvenking I knew. He was spaced out. Taken away. Something was bothering him. And now something is bothering me. And I cannot stay down and look at our downfall. That's why I asked you both here."

Although there were trees and walls to break the wind. It blasted into making each struggle. And it was cold, so bitterly cold. The air that was welcoming in the warmer area of the cellar was now bejeweled with ice air. The wooden ground was frozen solid and perhaps Ethir's words caused the harshness. "Adar agreed to this. There is no reasoning to that agreement." Legolas emitted a sharp sound and stepped to go find the Elvenking.
