Chapter 27: apologies

Hayes' POV

I was sitting on the couch when Nash sat right next to me.

"Hi." I said

"Hey bro."

"So, sup?"

"Why is Janhvi crying in your room?"

"I don't know." I said starting to panic

"Don't lie."

"I don't want a baby yet." I said

"Cause the fame?"

"Yea." I'm said quietly

"Dude, the fame is gonna follow you wherever you go. If Janhvi has a baby and you not there, how do you think she will feel?"

"So you saying that I should stay with her, no matter what?" I asked

"Pretty much."

I got up and walked into our room. I sat next to her.

I put my arm around her and she looked up. I wiped away her tears and kissed her on the forehead.

"Why are you here?" she asked

"I made a mistake."

"You make a lot of mistakes." she said

Damn.

"Listen. I want to be there for you and this baby."

"Yea, and then lie to me again." she said

Fuck.

"No, I won't."

"And how do I trust you? When we were twelve or thirteen years old I fell in love with you. I don't know if I can ever do that again." she said

"Look if you want a relationship, then just forget everything that happened and start afresh."

"I do want a relationship. Just not with you." she said walking away

I ran and grabbed her arm.

"I'm not letting you go. Janhvi I love you, and this baby. But I can't let you go find someone else and tell this baby that I'm not their father."

"And I won't." she said

"Wait, I'm confused."

"I've been waiting to hear that. Waiting this whole day to hear that. And now I have." she said

"So, you wanna start over?"

"Yea." she said

She took out her ring and gave it to me.

I kneeled down and said,

"Janhvi Grier, will you accept this ring as a form of our love, and everything we've been through?"

"Yes." she said and I slipped it on

"I think I feel in love with those blue eyes all over again." she said and kissed me
