Confession

Derek and Hayley were best friends. One day they were sitting on the couch at Derek's house, doing homework.
"I'm your best friend right?" Hayley asked him out of nowhere.
"Of course you are, why are you asking?" Derek responded.
"So you'd be honest with me, and tell me who you like," Hayley continued her homework while talking.
"I don't like someone, but I do love someone," Derek answered looking up at Hayley.
"You do, since when?" Hayley eagerly asked, wanting to be able to tease him about it.
"I've loved her since the day I met her," Derek told Hayley with a little hesitation.
"Wow, ok since were best friends can you call her? So that way I can meet her," Hayley said still working on her homework. Derek did as she asked and was about to start talking to Hayley but got interrupted.
"Oh give me a second I think my phone is ringing," she said while pulling her phone out of her pocket. She answered it without looking at the caller I.d.
"Hello?" She talked into the phone.
"I love you," said the voice on the other side of the line. She couldn't believe what she was hearing because she recognized that voice. She turned to look at her best friend who still had the phone held against his ear. Hayley dropped  her phone out of her hand in shock, because the person on the other line was her best friend Derek. After a couple minutes of Hayley just gaping at Derek, she picked her phone up and said into it,
"I love you too".
