Rendered to silence, Bellissa eyed him warily. Compared to Leonardo's silk black and white stripped pajamas she felt much undressed in the t-shirt went barely past her buttocks she wore to bed, a sense of déjà vu slammed into her that night at his grandmother villa. Now feeling quite embarrassed, she wasn't going to walk across there barely covered.

Bellissa scuttled across to the bed and jumped on the king-sized bed to hide behind the cover.

Leonardo looked at her amusingly. "We need to talk, cara."

"Talk?" she gulped watching her eyes travelling up to the length of his body until she finally met his eyes.

"Yes, talk, conversing."

"About what?"

"I need to spend the night in here."

Bellissa sat up so abruptly that she felt lightheaded. "Why would you?" she gulped. "You can't..."

He plopped on the armchair across the bed. "We need to convince her grandfather, if not her, that she has no chance."

Bellissa frowned. "Do you think her grandfather encourages her?"

He shrugged. "Possibly, he has no heir and I'm buying his company he might want to keep the company within the family."

"And you think sleeping together," she blushed furiously, "I mean sharing a room will convince him?" her pulse bit erratically in the mixture of excitement and fear.

"He's conservative, and he'll know that I wouldn't flaunt a mistress in his face if I were planning to marry his granddaughter."

"I thought that the Ferraris' heirloom did much convincing." She glared at him.

"And you wore it right." He eyed her intently.

Bellissa sighed. "So how would he know that we share a be- room."

He grinned boyishly. 'I'm prepared to wager my vast collection of paintings that within ten minutes there'll be a knock on the door." He assumed the pose pretending to think deeply. "Camille might conveniently have this unbearable headache and couldn't find some painkillers."

She frowned. "She would...I mean, how you know that?"

"Call it a man's intuition." His dark brows flickered upward in the teasing manner, "now, we wouldn't want to disappoint her in case she comes sooner rather than later, would we?" he grinned at her wolfishly, standing up and slowly, deliberately taking off his shirt while keeping his eyes locked on her, he threw his shirt careless on the floor and started stalking towards the bed with feline grace.

Bellissa watched him in completely stupor the hard planes of his abdomen rippling with every little movement. Her heart beat punctuate his every step he made. From beneath her lashes she watched him lower himself into the bed and stretch out full length, her throat parched at the way his big body flexed beneath silky pajama. "Ooh God what is she going to do?"

"Quit looking like I'm going to devour you, cara." He chuckled, "not that I mind. But I promise you I will protect your virtue."

"You promise."

"Yes, cara." His deep voice husked out. "But you understand when Camille come in we'll have to be convincing. I would prefer your lingerie ripped neglected across the floor and you and I in throe of passion but somehow I don't see that happening, do you?" he lightly trailed his finger across her cheek and posed to skim her lips.
