Second Chance

Chapter 10:

It had been about about two month since the fiasco with the bombing of Atlantis, and it was a good day. Today, the Justice League was getting new members, as was the team.

Rocket was with the team watching the ceremony, they had just gotten there when the Zeta announced new arrivals.

'Recognized: Antiope B09, Malcom B10'

The Zeta announced, before two kids walked through the beam. The team gasped, they where younger than Robin!

The boy had black hair, a swimmers build, and blue eyes. He was just a bit shorter than Robin, but somehow they knew there was more to him than meets the eye. His suit was blue on the top, with long sleeves. He had black pants, and blue shoes. There was a grey belt on, but other than that, nothing.

Then the girl, she had brown hair and green eyes. Forest green, a brighter shade than Wally's. She was shorter than the boy by about two inches, and she had her hair braided. Her suit was similar to Wonder Woman, just the top was blue, and she had a black skirt. Also, she wore blue boots. She had no headband on her head, but she had the gauntlets.

"Was there a party We didn't know about?" The boy asked, and Wally and Robin gasped.

"Book boy!" They Shouted, as they launched themselves at the boy. He was stuck in a hug, and the girl was laughing.

"Oh, we've missed you." Wally Said, as they got off the boy.

"Well, I can tell. Now seriously, Red was getting membership to the League and you didn't think to tell us?!? We're hurt!" The boy said, and the girl laughed.

"Yeah, not even Sharpie told us. He's like our big brother! We found out through our moms, we where shocked. We grew up together, why wouldn't you tell us?" The girl asked, and the boys gasped.

"No way, your dad let you join?!?" Robin Said in total shock, and she smirked and nodded.

"Yep, but I've still got to practice with mother everyday." She Said, and that's when the others stepped forward.

"You guys care to fill us in?" Asked Connor, and the two newcomers laughed.

"Hi, my name is Antiope. This is Malcom, we're new." The girl said, and the team gave them smiles.

"Can we get your real names?" Asked Artemis, and the two looked around.

"Not here, we'll tell you somewhere private." The boy said, and the team understood.

"Can we learn who your mothers are?" Asked Megan, and they shook their heads no.

"But I can tell you I'm an Amazon." The girl said.

"And I'm from Metropolis." The boy said, and Wally and Robin face palmed.

"Wait, you look familiar." Malcom said to Connor, then his eyes widened. He turned to face Antiope, and he clenched his jaw.

"Antiope, a word, now." He said dangerously, and then they walked to the side.

"Is that my brother?" He Asked her, and she nodded.

"Why didn't dad tell me, I know you said I had an older brother, but I didn't believe it." He said, and she placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I know, but remember. That's his clone, and we both remember what happened last time he was cloned." Both of them flinched as they remembered Bizzaro, that was not a fun day.

"But still, he knows how much I want siblings. He knows how much I love our family, why?" Anthony Asked her, and she pulled him into a hug.

"Anthony, we can tell Lowis when this is all over. She can beat some sense into your dad, if not, I will." She told him, and Anthony laughed.

"Ok, now let's go back." He said, and they walked back to the group.

"Sorry, this bird brain just needed to ask me something." She Said mockingly, and Anthony stuck his tongue at her. The group started laughing, till Robin's glove beeped.

"Let's go, we've got a mission." Robin Said, and Antiope and Malcom followed them to the Bioship.

"Ok, so Cheshire was spotted boarding a plane. The plane flew under the radar, like way under." Robin Said, as he inspected the area. The others did as well, and it was pretty bad.

"Malcom, fly up. See if you can spot anything from the air, you might see something we can't." Antiope told him, and the boy nodded before flying up. This surprised everyone, they probably should've asked what abilities the two had.

"If this was a crash, where are the bodies?" Asked Wally, and that's when Antiope got a bad feeling.

"Here's one, and it is stunning." Cheshire Said, and they all got into position.

"I am flora not fauna, I am shrubbery not grass, what am I?" Asked a riddling voice, and Robin growled.

"Ambush." He said, and that's when a energy dome rose. Anthony tried to break through it, but ended up getting zapped. He fell to the ground, and Antiope used her powers.

"Miss M, catch Malcom!" Shouted Wally, but the Martin couldn't.

"I can't, he's going to fast." She Said, and Antiope ran forward. She controlled the snow to catch Anthony, and it did.

"Zatanna, now!" Kaldur Shouted, and Zatanna creates a blizzard in the dome. Antiope looked at Malcom, he was about to go to her side. She would not have it, they where heroes now, she could hold her own.

"Go, I'll be fine!" She shouted over the wind, he nodded then flew off to fight. She sighed, well, now time to use what she knew. She ran into the fight, and started using the teachings of the Amazons to take down people.

When the snow disappeared, she was smiling. They had won, and she didn't even need to use her powers or sorcery to win!

"Ok, objective secured. Let's head home." Robin Said, and Anthony and Percy paled. Sure her mother let her join the team, and Lowis let Anthony join. However, their dads didn't know. They where so toast, and not the kind with jam. However, that's if they are recognized. But with Percy's sorcery, that isn't likely. They took deep breaths, then went with the team.

They where in the cave, and had just gotten spoken to. That's when Lowis called Anthony, told him he had to head home now. So, that meant Antiope and Malcom had to head home.

"Sorry, but we can't stay. Moms called us back home, and nobody messes with Malcom's mother. Nobody." Antiope Said with a shiver, the others nodded and they gave them hugs. Then they left, unaware of what was about to go down.

It was a fiasco nobody blames them for missing, in fact the team is glad they weren't there. The two eleven year olds would get crushed, and they where still so new to the hero gig. Everyone agreed it was for the best they weren't there.
