Is an emergency procedure that combines chest compressions often with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest.

Deanna's POV

Monday na naman. I hate monday's, ever since intern pa lang ako every monday is a busy day, it's a toxic day, at di makakaligtas ang araw na to.

Everyone please be on standby. There's a mass vehicular accident sa edsa at lahat ng casualty ay dito dadalhin.

Update. 2 black tag (expectant), 3 red tag (immediate) , 4 yellow tag (delayed) and 5 green tag (minimal).

Can this day be any better? Ang aga aga, toxic na kaagad. I thought.

I was shocked, speechless seeing Mafe, Jema's sister as one of the casualty. I came near her to check her. Since papunta pa dw ang mga red tag.

Mafe? What happened? Are you alright? I asked worriedly

Ate deanna, okay lang ako. Si kuya Cy, please. Si kuya Cy help him. She replied and plead for me to look for Cy.

I'll do my best Mafe. But are you sure na okay ka lang talaga? I said and left her to the attending nurse so that i could find Cy.

After making sure that Mafe is alright, I waited for the next batch of casualties. waiting and silently praying that Cy would not be included sa mga red tag or worst sa black tag. mafe is really worried, it means masama ang lagay ni Cy.

The next batch of casualties arrived. The red and black tags. and there I saw Cy, bleeding profusely and it seems he loss his consciousness. i immediately ran towards him and approach the paramedics.

Over here, male, 27 years old, approx 5'9" and 60kg, possible head injury, GCS ( glasgow coma scale ) 7/15, with lacerations and abrasions, Heart rate 70s - 90s, rapid respiration noted but shallow, oxygen saturation 90%, drivers ID said he's Cy Malonjao. As I was listening sa paramedics, para akong nanghihina sa nakikita ko as I physically assess him, but I need to pull myself together para maligtas ko siya.

Thank you, I'll take it from her. please prepare trauma room 1 and prepare the crash cart and intubation set and can someone please call Dr. Paras and Dr. Valdez for me. I said my thank you sa paramedics and hinila na ang stretcher papasok sa ER, I also told the nurses to prepare the things needed and also tawagin sina ate Den and Ponggay, they need to know at para na din matingnan nang maayos si Mafe.

Yes Dr. Wong, noted, ready na po ang trauma room 1. The attending nurse replied.

Alright, transfer the patient and continue monitoring. I commanded. We then hurriedly transfer Cy sa trauma room 1 kung saan naka prepare ang mga gamit.

As we enter trauma room 1, I looked at Cy, he doesn't look good. Ang dami niyang sugat at sa tingin ko madami ring dugo ang nawala sa kanya.

Please also do the routine laboratories and after natin siyang mapa stable, I want a head CT and an abdominal ultrasound. I ordered. I need to know his current status, what is going on inside his body.

Yes Doc. The nurses replied.

Doc, he's crashing. Heart is going down, labored respiration noted and oxygen saturation is now 85%.  Another nurse said and seems to be in panicked. This doesn't look good talaga.
