Troubled Boy - Part 18

"Ara! Where are you going!" Her mother asked.

"For a walk," she called back not stopping.

"No, I don't want you walking around all night by yourself. What if something bad happens to you? Who will know?"

Ara's head turned slowly looking back at her worried mother, "I'll be careful, mom, I promise."

"Ara, listen to me. I'm worried about you."

"I know mom, but these walls are driving me crazy. I need air," she says grabbing her purse.

"I'll go with you then. We haven't talked about Yoongi lately but I know you're still hurting. I'm sorry he left baby but he's probably okay. He has a history of doing this. He's a troubled boy, a runaway."

"No, he's not, mom. Terrible things have happened to him. It's understandable."

"I know he had reason to, I don't deny that, but when he's hurting, he finds it easier to just leave."

"That's not the case this time. We love each other."

"You say he had no reason to leave. Well, what about the fact that you still haven't broken up with Jay?"

"You really think that could be the reason?"

"Maybe, I don't know."

It hurt her to think Yoongi might have left her on purpose but that was better than the awful scenarios she replayed over and over in her head at night. She knew that was the reason her mother said that to her.

Yoongi had an idea.  It had to work.  He thought about it all day and night trying to figure out when would be the best time for the plan to succeed.  All he had to do now is wait for a chance to be close to Yuri so he could tell her.  Without her help, they couldn't get away.  But he was worried.  The plan was too simple with a huge chance of failure and if they failed the little bit of freedom he was afforded would be lost. Not to mention the beating he would receive, but it was worth the risk.  Neither one of them could take it anymore. 

Down at the bar, Yoongi sipped his drink his handler close by but at least his captor was away and had left him alone for a few days.  Of this he was thankful, the obsessive freak was gone giving him a break from the constant unwanted attention.  The monster wanted Yoongi more than anyone else.  He calls him his pretty baby while he watches him with lustful eyes.  Every night he pulls him into his room pounds him into the bed leaving bites and bruises on his body.  Yoongi's hands clench at the thought.  He has fantasies of killing him so he can't hurt anyone else, but in his domain, he is powerless to fight him off.

His breathing quickens from nerves as he sets his plan in motion.  Easing away from the handler he walks up to a loud tipsy customer that he has been watching from the bar. His eyes scan the room and dart to Yuri who is in place, having made her way as close to the door as she could dare.  The drunk empties his drink and slams the glass on the table.  Yoongi leans over pretending to be drunk knocking into the man pushing him to the floor.  The man instantly gets up red with anger swinging his fists at Yoongi.  Yoongi takes the punch and pushes the man into the bouncers that quickly came to stop the fight. 

This was her chance.  Yuri is terrified that Yoongi is hurt but even more scared of getting caught.  The minute the bouncer left the door she dashed out into the cool night air.  She picks a direction and keeps running, turning the corner and out of sight, she frantically hails a taxi as Yoongi had told her to do.  

"To the police station please!" She tells the driver nervously glancing back to see if anyone was following them.
