Chapter 2 - Meeting The Emperor

Hi Again! So I wrote this chapter super quickly and I have no idea how and now I'm super tired. ╯﹏╰

Anyway~, I hope you all enjoy the second chapter of 'The Empress To Be' it's always a pleasure writing this story and once the next chapter is out we'll be delving into the interactions between Yu Zhen and Tai Xiang (the emperor and ML if you didn't know)!

Yu Fen caught sight of her brother shaking his head and turned to him whilst scowling furiously, "what are you shaking your head at you fucking lowlife scoundrel!" she exclaimed angrily, the guard's head turned to her abruptly, he looked at her with shock in his eyes for he had never heard such profanity from a woman before, he then turned away as quickly as he looked.

Yu Zhen looked to Yu Fen with a mixture of agitation and hurt in his eyes, but didn't say anything in return.

Instead, he turned his focus to the guard that was in front of them and looked at him with wide sparkling eyes that shone with curiosity and wonder, what caught his immediate attention was a beautiful light beam emanating from the guard's hand that lit up the wall up front.

Just then, that same wall suddenly turned into a black hole of sorts, revealing a reasonably dark and dreary tunnel, much to the younger male's surprise.

By then, the guard had Yu Zhen's complete attention. "Alright, follow me" the royal guard ordered, the two instantly began following him into the rather daunting looking black hole.

As they walked Yu Fen approached the guard and grabbed his arm rather seductively, he looked at her slightly disgusted and creeped out "that was teleportation magic, right?" she asked curiously with a 'cutesy' voice, he looked away from his harasser and shook her off his arm "kind of" he replied monotonously.

She was dumbfounded, first, who would ever dare push her way? Yu Fen was irresistible! Or so she thought... and secondly, "What do you mean by 'kind of'?" she asked, the guard side stepped away from her to gain a bit of distance.

"Well, it technically is a form of teleportation magic, however, the emperor gives all his closely trusted guards a special accessory of sorts, each one allows us to teleport to and from the inner and outer parts of the kingdom." He explained to the Yu Fen, however she had lost all interest in the conversation the moment he said 'well.'

Yu Zhen on the other hand, was completely intrigued. What's teleportation magic? No, what's magic all together? He thought questioningly, he came up beside the guard still keeping a distance between the two to respect each other's privacy, unlike his ill-manored sister, Yu Fan...

"That's amazing!" Yu Zhen said, expressing his interest and curiosity. The guard turned his attention to him and seemed rather relaxed compared to when he was standing next to the vixen that is Yu Fen, "the emperor sounds amazing" Yu Zhen complimented.

The guard continued looking to him and scoffed while puffing his chest out proudly. "He is, but he's nothing without me" Yu Zhen blinked at him and giggled "oh but of course, the almighty emperor, who is renowned for being the strongest human alive is absolutely nothing without his 'special guard' by his side" he replied mockingly yet with a tone of friendliness.

"Hey!" the royal guard responded, slightly offended, but soon he too began laughing.

Yu Zhen wiped a stray tear that built up in the corner of his eye and smiled. "If you don't mind me asking good sir, but what's your name? I'm sure it isn't particularly pleasant to be called 'guard' or 'sir' all the time" the royal guard glanced at him with soft eyes and relented.
