||11 The Functions Begin- part 2||

Imran's function was equally beautiful and fun. It was hilarious to see a serious person whining as he was covered in turmeric paste. All credits to Khizir who had vigorously rubbed the paste on his face. Laughter and cheers were echoing around, yet one was silent. He had already applied and was just staring everyone.

The function ended and ladies were singing some traditional songs.
Khizir was planning something. He took the paste in his hands and moved towards Irfa who was standing with everyone. But in between Shifa came, and she applied the paste on Khizir's face as she was doing it to everyone.

That was it, he grunted and rubbed the paste on her face and hair too, ruining her makup and some of it fell on her clothe ruining it too. She looked at him for some moment and groaned in anger…everyone was laughing at their childish act. Khizir moved a little towards Irfa and with his one finger applied the paste on her cheek too, startling her and then took a little of paste and ran towards him.

They were running all around and one person's eyes followed them. She was about to reach Khizir but unfortunately bumped into Shehreyar and her hands collapsed with his white kurta. Everyone froze making her gulp in fear, but the very next moment they started laughing.

“Shifa what's this nonsense? Can't you all behave properly? Are
you children?” He was scolding shifa but his eyes were on Irfa. There was utter silence in the lawn, even the elders were shocked on his unusual behavior.

“Shehreyar stop it...what do you think everyone will become like you? You are boring that doesn't mean everyone should follow you” This time it was Saba, her voice wasn't loud but strong enough to make Shehreyar understand his wrong.

“I apologize, I should get going.” He said looking here and there in a small voice and went outside. Driving the car with full speed he reached the place where he used to go.

He sat on the bench and stared up in the sky, as if asking for what He had written. When he wanted to solve problems it became worse. He wanted to talk to her nicely, appreciate her like everyone but, everything messed up and this time it was his family whom he had hurt. He had spent the night in the park, just sitting idly staring the stars sky, when dawn had approached he came back and straightway apologized to his mother who was up for morning prayer.

“It's ok beta but be careful please try to control your anger... things done in anger gives nothing but regret.”Saba said and went inside her room. He was ashamed of his actions. He went to his room and got freshen. Praying the obligatory prayer he had asked for guidance from his lord.

Irfa along with the girls were sitting in Shifa's room as they all were discussing the upcoming functions. Meanwhile, Sana came with her friends for introducing them.

“Girls, meet them. Noor here is my best friend and classmate and Sara, her cousin.” Sana said and everyone started conversing with them and each other. It didn't take the two to get comfortable.

Shehreyar was searching for Shifa as he wanted to have a cup of coffee and asking anyone meant waiting for ages. He had searched everywhere buy her room, so he went there and knocked at the door. Hearing a 'come in' he entered. For fraction if seconds his eyes roamed around in search of one but didn't find her. She had deliberately gone to the washroom when she heard him on the door.
