of jesus christ some say
"ha! no, i don't believe it
that precious little story is a lie
he didn't exist, the bible isn't true
as for religion, the people of the world
just altercate and die"
but i didn't ask about the topic of religion
just of christ
i didn't bring up history of politics and war
simply of his advice
which when I personally skim a bible page even in short
i feel imbued all through apostles' words
"so what?
who cares what this dumb weakling did advise?
look how he let the others treat and shame him
in their eyes! if i were him
i would not let myself so easily die
would have been cleverer," is the reply
but i think cleverest are those that realize
that it's this current mental state
that cruelly crucifies
precisely this he came to show to human beasts sometimes we’d rather kill each other
than see peace
"yeah, uh-huh, sure, ok"
they say
"there is still a flaw,
the scholars researched a concluded
… blah-blah-blah
-blah-blah ..."
well
even if it’s just a crafted story
in my books it’s good fiction
and what gives it glory
is the narrative's moral
cleverly written into allegory
so, hesitant to lean upon established labels
i ask the part of me receiving pulse
in tuning in, i'm always notified
that listening to vibes the likes of jesus christ
(won't call him God, but simply guide)
is to compose and read my life's own brilliant fable
