technology and nature:

are they really all that different

or can the latter be inclusive of the first?

what heresy! some shout, to think

that atom bombs and cell phones are part

of what we would deem good, let's reverse

but once again, aren't weapons used

(like everything) based on intentions?

it's not the chunk of metal's fault per se

maybe just the bomber who was not cherished

or grew up in a generation filled with hate

take this example, say we take the culprit

and place him in a setting more remote

some preach the tribe converts his fear to wisdom

but he must first allow it consciously, or stay a villain

one day, a tribesman's trapped in a cave collapsed

a dynamite blast could free him

but weapons they are pure evil!

too bad the helpless man is left to die

while tribesmen celebrate the choice

to ban the techy scapegoat in place of something 'right'

the aboriginals no doubt lived much in tune

(but that's not the only way!

how uncreative would nature be!?)

and as our world descends to gloom

technology accelerates

but what if we surpassed another separation?

here's an idea:

what if technology were created

with good vibrations?

if cells were not to use

external compounds for manufacture

there'd never be an animal, a human, or a culture

a mind must leap to comprehend this view

but this ain't nothing new

instead of taking passionate sides for good and bad

might i suggest a radical idea

that both are parts of a larger system

or a plan?

it's mother nature evolving

using anything she can

from carbon to aluminum

and we can aid her

but not through opinionated labels

nor one-sided equations

but only with the final answer

to all such questions

hidden deep inside the peaceful self
