The next morning, Elizabeth joyfully entered her room after a fun night with the girls. The only part she regretted was that she felt slightly ill, must be the hangover everyone talks about. She was busy getting dressed and ready for the day, when she remembered about HYDRA. She reluctantly checked the device, and noticed multiple missed messages.
"Where are you? You have not been responding. We need an update now."
"My mistake, I was pretending to be involved with a meeting. I believe I am gaining their trust," she had to lie. If HYDRA knew that she was spending her free time with the Avengers, she would be a dead girl walking.
Elizabeth carefully tucked away the device, and made her way to the living room. Surprisingly, Pietro was the only one in the room at the time.
"Hello, Eliza."
"Hey, Pietro."
"You were very interesting last night," he chuckled. "Maybe next time, go easier on the alcohol."
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Elizabeth sat down on the couch, next to Pietro.
"So, did I do something wrong?" Pietro asked abruptly.
"What do you mean? You haven't done anything wrong."
"Well last night, you said you had something to say to me. You sounded slightly aggressive,"
"Oh, don't worry about that. I have no reason to be mad at you."
"Ok, but do you remember what you were going to tell me?" Though last night was a little foggy, Elizabeth knew exactly what she was going to tell Pietro. Last night, she was trying to confess her feelings to him.
"Uh, nope. I don't remember any of last night," she covered up.
"We've all been there," Pietro chuckled while throwing his arm around her shoulders. He looked outside and spotted a rainbow. "Go get your music, and meet me on the roof."
"What for?"
"You will see."
Elizabeth giddily strolled to her room, grabbing her phone. She decided to ignore HYDRA for the time being, she would check for any notifications later. She dashed to the roof where Pietro was already waiting for her. He patted the floor next to him, and Elizabeth gladly sat down.
"You can turn on some music now."
(Once again if you like listening to music while reading, scroll up to the YouTube video above.)
Elizabeth's vision filled with color, and before her eyes was a beautiful streak of color. She admired every individual color- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
"What is this?"
"It is a rainbow."
"It's beautiful."
"It is. I thought you would like it," he unknowingly rubbed her knee. Elizabeth stared at the rainbow, then glanced at Pietro. She wanted to tell him how she felt, but she didn't know how. This is the first time she had ever felt this way about anyone, and couldn't put it into words. "There are so many little things in life that you have not enjoyed, I want to change that," he paused, remembering something the Avengers brought up a few days ago. "You know, the team wanted to go to the club sometime soon. I am sure they would be happy to bring you too if you are interested. You have never been to something like that before, correct?"
"No, I haven't been to a club before," she continued gazing at the rainbow.
"It is fun. Maybe we can go tomorrow night."
"Okay," Elizabeth dragged her eyes from the rainbow to meet with Pietro's. She gave him a quick smile which he returned. She debated about whether she wanted to kiss him or not. Her heart told her to do it, but her brain told her it would be embarrassing. She had never kissed anyone before, and he clearly has. She would probably make him uncomfortable with her inexperience. If he did like her, kissing him would be an easy way to change his mind. Despite her insecurities, Pietro placed a hand on hers, dragging her out of her negative thoughts. Maybe, at the moment, she didn't need to kiss him. This was enough.

(You can turn off the music now.)Elizabeth sat in the living room with Sam, Bucky, Rhodey, and Clint. She realized she hadn't talked to them as much as the other Avengers, and wanted to bond with them more.
"So, how do you like being away from HYDRA?" Bucky asked her.
"It's really nice. I didn't realize how much I was missing out on in life."
"Well, we're glad that you're enjoying it," Rhodey states.
"Yeah, we were afraid you would want to stick with HYDRA." Sam tells her.
"I did at first, but I guess things change," she smiled down at the ground.
"You're a good kid. I'm glad we kidnapped you," said Clint.
"It's funny how I've been kidnapped twice already and I'm only 22. I sure hope that I don't get kidnapped a third time," she laughed a little.
"We hope so, too," Bucky smiled at her.
She went to her room, getting ready for bed. Eliza spent all day chatting with her new friends, she wouldn't trade her new life for the world. Unfortunately, she had to contact HYDRA, otherwise they would grow even more suspicious of her. She checked all of her missed messages from HYDRA, it probably wasn't smart that the device stored their conversations, but it was handy for her to know what she missed. At least their conversations were in Morse code, making it a little harder for someone to read.
"We need an update now. Are you making any progress on exterminating the Avengers?"
"I plan to take out Natasha first. She is one of the strongest," she didn't know how long she could keep up lying to both sides. She knew that she would eventually be caught by one of them, but she had to figure it out on her own. Once she has a plan, she could tell the Avengers. Right now was just a waiting game, but she knew her deadline was slowly creeping up on her.
Sorry this chapter is a little short and random, it's a filler chapter. I wanted to show that she is growing more attached to the team. But don't worry, something big may happen soon. ;)
