Hey Eleanor,

I got your letter. I'm glad to hear Carl made it back okay even though my honest opinion is he didn't deserve to after pulling such a dumbass move. So I guess I'm glad for your sake, not his. But whatever.

Anyways, Maggie is doing really good. Her baby is also going to be okay. It was something about her uterine lining becoming detached? I'm not sure. I was going to tell her about what was going on with you but I chickened out. I just said you were too sick to travel. So now she's worried about you and I feel stupid. She wants you to visit. So do I. We can tell her together then.

You'd like Hilltop. Maybe you can stay here with me. The doctor is a really cool guy and I'd feel better if I knew you had someone close by with real medical knowledge. No offense to the hours and hours you've spent reading. I've talked to him about you. He says his 'office' is open for whenever you come.

I hope I see you soon.

Enid

We did end up traveling to the Hilltop, Eleanor leaning heavily against me the whole way there. While the initial reason we went was because my father wanted to negotiate with their leader, Gregory, in hopes of banding together to fight Negan, she and I had an alternative motive.

Under the instruction of Enid, we arrived discretely to the small medical room that housed Hilltop's prestigious doctor. He sat perched on a stool amongst a series of medical equipment, rising when we appeared in the doorway.

"Hi, um, Enid said she told you about me." Eleanor was crossing her arms over her chest, her lips a tight line. She was nervous. Hell, I was nervous.

"Of course. In here."
