"hey Luce" Marcus said down the phone

"hey Rashy what's up?" I asked him

"I just wanted to let you know Jesse's injured himself in training, it doesn't look good at all" he told me

"shit, do you think I need to come down?" I asked him

"I think so, he might even need to have an operation if it's as bad as it looks at the minute" he answered

"oh my god, I'll come right away" I sighed before we said goodbye and hung up

"hey Rach I heard Jesse got injured" I said to the lady at reception

"yeah he's in the first aid room, second door on the left" she told me putting the code in the door for me

"thank you so much, Merry Christmas" I called out as I walked away

"Merry Christmas!" she called back

"Lucy!" I heard a familiar voice shout

"PP!" I exclaimed

"come on lemme take Nate, he's right in here" he said taking the pram and walking into the room

"oh my god" I gasped as I saw Jesse in tears on the bed "Jess"

"Lucy you didn't have to come all the way over here" Jesse said

"of course I did, Rashy told me it was bad but I didn't think it would be this bad" I frowned

"I don't even know what happened I just was going for the ball one minute and the next my knee was just in agony" he explained

"yep torn ACL" we heard one of the doctors say to the other

"no" I sighed

"you've got to be kidding me" Jesse exclaimed punching the bed with his fist

"babe it's okay you're gonna get through this" I reassured him

"okay we're gonna have to do surgery if you want to play again Jesse" one of the doctors told him

"just do whatever you need to do doc" Jesse replied

"when are you gonna do the operation?" I asked them

"tomorrow, if all goes well he'll be home by Christmas eve don't worry" they said to me

"I'm guessing that means no travelling then" I presumed

"not for at least a week" they answered

"no going to London for Christmas then" I frowned

"babe you and Nate can go and I'll stay here" Jesse suggested

"no way in hell are we not spending Christmas together" I chuckled

"I was hoping you were gonna say that" he laughed

"there's my Jess back" I smiled
