"hey, hyunjin. you okay?" woojin asked hyunjin.
after hyunjin finished using jeongin's bathroom, he went downstairs with the others, minus felix and jeongin, and has been in a deep thought since.
"huh?" he snapped from his thoughts, "yeah, i'm fine." he faked a smile.
"we may be stupid, but we're not that stupid." jisung said, minho nodding in agreement.
"don't count me in "we". i'm not stupid." woojin said to jisung sarcastically, making hyunjin chuckle.
"soo, wanna talk about it?" seungmin asked.
"i-" hyunjin sighed deeply, "it's not about me. it's about jeongin."
"jeongin? what happened to him?" chan asked worriedly.
"well, when i used his bathroom, there were rose petals scattered all over the floor, around the toilet." hyunjin started explaining, "and, i think he might be ill."
minho and jisung looked at him confused, "why would he have rose petals scattered around his toilet? he doesn't even love roses." minho said.
"hanahaki.." changbin muttered, "he may be diseased with it."
seongmin's eyes went wide, ""what?! no way! that's not possible." he denied, "how can you be so sure about it?"
"i mean, c'mon think about it." changbin responded, "he's been acting odd for a week, we've seen him take medicine and now the rose petals." he explained.
"it makes sense.." chan mumbled to himself, woojin nodding.
"i- what even is hanahaki?" jisung asked confused, earning a 'really?' look from everyone, minus minho. minho also as clueless as him.
after explaining everything to the two clueless boys, they decided not to ask him about it, not wanting to press him into it and make him uncomfortable.
"what do you guys think, who may be the person?" minho asked curiously.
"could it be jee?" jisung butted in.
"i don't think so, they're only friends. he hasn't shown any feelings towards her or hasn't acted like he likes her." hyunjin said, sounding more possessive. it took him by a surprise the way he responded.
"ji yoo?" seungmin suggested.
"he basically hates her." woojin rolled his eyes.
"what if it's not a girl?" jisung asked, unsure. everyone looked at him shockingly.
"that's the first smart, useful thing you've said in 10 years." changbin said as jisung and minho high fived.
"a guy?" hyunjin asked. something about jeongin liking a guy made him happy.
"yes, a guy." changbin rolled his eyes at the boy's stupidity, "love doesn't pick out your soulmate by gender and looks. if you love them, you love them."
"that's so,.. true and emotional." minho whispered, wiping his non-existent tears, chan patting him on the back.
