Chapter 1 - Memories

-58 Years Later-

Theron had just finished killing another unjust dictator. This ruler was Naut Hunrax of planet Bitrov, a planet known for having large, troll-like inhabitants. This ruler would demand unfair tax from his citizens, anyone who could not pay would be beaten to death. Sighing, Theron bent over to retrieve his dagger. Why couldn't rulers just be fair and just? It would make his life so much easier. Wiping the blood off his dagger, Theron realized he had not visited Tianope in a while. 34 years, to be precise. He needed to pay the kingdom a little checkup. Last time he was there, the kingdom had a steady source of income and was on its way to great success. He concentrated on the planet and Vapour-Traveled there.

Theron appeared on a hill that overlooked the kingdom. There were banners hanging all throughout the village. Turns out, this is the day that Theron freed the citizens of their old ruler, Vayne. He sighed and walked down the street looking at the advancements made over the last several years. The old, muddy buildings were replaced with stone and brick buildings that could amaze even the gods of architecture. There were arches and colors of all sorts, the kingdom had become less dull and brighter when Nebula came to power. The streets were clean and the people were dressed in real clothes. Women were given rights and men had a choice to join the army or start a family. Nebula had really steadied the economy.

Soon enough, people began to notice his presence. Older Tianopians smiled and pointed him out to younger residents. The younger people stared at him in awe as he walked down the street, twirling his dagger in his hand. He walked up to the castle doors and were stopped by the guards.

"Sorry, sir, but you are not permitted to enter the castle grounds." a female guard said.

Meanwhile, the other guard stood and looked in shock between the two of them. This guard, who was male, obviously knew who he was. The female, not so much.

Theron chuckled. "I believe that I am an exception," Theron replied, smugly, "I am great friends with Queen Nebula.".

"And who might you be, exactly?" the female snarled.

Theron grinned a lopsided grin and mock bowed. "Theron, Assassin of Beasts, at your service.".

She took a step back, obviously frightened. "I-I'm sorry, L-Lord Theron. I thought you were someone else.".

"It is quite alright. It is always okay to be wary." the assassin replied.

Just then Queen Nebula stepped out, obviously hearing the commotion. Seeing Theron, the Queen gasped. Theron was like an older brother to her. She ran up to the assassin and flung her arms around him, smiling widely.

"Theron! Your back!" the queen said, happily.

"Indeed I am, and I wanted to ask you something," Theron replied.

The Queen nodded, telling him to continue.

"Can you keep a secret?"

They were in the Queen's private quarters.

"What is it you wanted to tell me, Theron?" the Queen asked.

"As you know, I have known you a long time and I consider you a little sister." Theron started, "I believe it is time you know of my past and my identity.".

The Queen looked shocked. "Theron, you do know you can trust me with anything, right? I will not tell anyone anything if you do not wish me to.".

"Yeah, yeah enough with that sappy stuff. Anyway, you know me as Theron, Assassin of Many, Assassin of Beasts, Monsters, etc. However, a long time ago, I was known as Perseus Jackson. Retriever of Zeus's Master Bolt, Survivor of the Sea of Monsters, Retriever of the Golden Fleece, Bearer of the Titan's Curse, Holder of the Sky, Explorer and Destroyer of the Labyrinth, Bane of Kronos, One of the Seven, Saviour of Death, Praetor of New Rome, Bane of Polybotes, Survivor of Tartarus, Bane of Gaea and Two Time Savior of Olympus.". He then lowered his hood, revealing the jet black, windswept hair, and sea green eyes.
