A Marriage Proposal (Jensoo version) Completed

Chapter One

"Damn it, are you sleepin' with ya eyes open?" Jennie was roughly awakened by the woman in front of her. Kim Jisoo, her lifetime enemy stood there in front of her with a big frown, but all she could concentrate on was the man. Oh damn, why was he here again?!

"I-I am sorry," Jennie muttered with a small shake of her head; still she couldn't concentrate, for she wouldn't have asked sorry to Jisoo if it was any other time. 

Her eyes kept straying towards the man walking with a woman, his arms around her. They were close and she instantly found that glittering diamond in the woman's hand. Her heart stopped for a moment and then it started beating painfully. Kim Jongin aka Kai was back to town, with a woman. That news made her felt as if someone had pounded her heart with a hammer.

Jennie was a small town girl, with a family ranch, a big farm home and horses. She was working in the local supermarket, if you could call this medium sized store that. She was contented with her life, except for one thing. She wanted a marriage, with a man, Kai aka Mr. Unavailable. She could never forget Kai, her first love, and she would never forget her first marriage proposal... But now all that remained was a painful whisper of rejection.

And now he was back after 5 years, and he was engaged to a beautiful woman; and this all had to happen when she finally believed she was ready to move on. But after seeing him, she was sure she wasn't over of him yet. Jennie looked down at her with a small disgusting frown. She wasn't a classic, exotic beauty like that woman with Kai. She was simple, plain, with freckles on her cheeks. She rubbed her cheeks self-consciously. She couldn't help but feeling like a mouse in front of the tall woman; she adjusted her dress and stood tall, though the woman and Kai wasn't even looking in her direction.

"Sorry?  Look, how sorry you're! You're still dreaming, Ms. Kim" Jisoo almost shouted. She looked at the heart shaped lips girl in front of her and then looked at what she was buying. Her eyes rounded.

"Wait! don't tell me this is all that you're goin' to buy!" Her eyes widened in surprise.

"What else do I need to buy?" She asked, quirking her eyebrows raising. Her chocolate brown orbs twinkled mischievously. If only she wasn't irritating, she would have found her attractive, but no, Kim Jisoo was a jerk, with a capital J.

"You pestered me for an hour, just for buying this, Oh my God, I know you hate me, but this is just too much..." she shook her head and her dull brown hairs fell over her face. She removed them hurriedly away from her face. The other woman's hair was neatly plaited and pinned with flowers. She was looking like a model... Jennie could only wish that she was that woman, but no, she didn't have any Genie to make her wish come true.

"It's your job to do billing for whatever we buy, that's why Mrs. Roseberry hired ya." She said all too seriously. Very well! Now the moron was advising her!

"Ok, Ms. Kim Jisoo" she said all too politely, but both of them know it wasn't meant to be polite. Jisoo was working in her farm, and she was a bad girl or that was what everyone said.

"Here's your lollypop and the bill." She frowned at her as she handed her the lolly-pop. Could you believe it was all that she had bought? Jerk, she came here just to mess with her.

She relaxed, leaning against the counter and tore the paper and then started sucking the lolly-pop. Damn Kim f*cking Jisoo, she looked so damn hot with those brown orbs and sexy heart shaped lips and all. She was an inch taller than me, ruggedly gorgeous and a little too roguish. Yup, she wasn't her type, not at all. She preferred a guy, although she wasn't homophobic though. She like soft-talking, like Kai.

"Want some?" She poked the lollypop in front of her face and she wrinkled her nose.

"Don't ya have any work in the farm? My Dad doesn't pay you for playing around," she said sternly, but even she knew that the older girl could walk away from the work whenever she wanted. She was her Dad's best friend's daughter and she was her Dad's favorite.

"Oh, you know Ms. Kim, I am the boss there," she said smugly. And she believed. Her Dad was the one to blame... Not this arrogant, boorish jerk.

When she opened her mouth to snap at him, a voice interrupted her, a voice which was so smooth, unlike Kim Jisoo.

"Jennie, is that you?"

So, you would forget the person with whom you spent your entire high school days after just 5 years? She wanted to grit her teeth, but instead she nodded.

"Yup. It's me." Her lips went flat.

"Wow, it has been so long since we met," he said in his smooth, all perfect tone, as if he didn't belong to this town.

"So whose fault is that? Exactly not mine." She cut in. Kai's eyes went round in shock. She heard a snicker and looked up at Jisoo. who was now unsuccessfully trying to control her laughter as she measured the woman with her naughty eyes. Player, she grumbled inside.

When her eyes met the woman's, she winked and to her surprise the woman blushed. Ok... Don't tell her that the other woman was being charmed by Kim Jisoo! After all she was from the city and she would have seen so many polished gay...

"Hello sweet lady, Kim Jisoo, a pleasure to meet ya," she held her hand out as she spoke in her husky, rich baritone.

No... Noo... Nooo... Noooo... Damn it, why did she shake her hand? She was covered with dirt and all, yet the woman didn't mind it at all...

"I'm Krystal nice to meet you too, Ms. Kim"

Why was she holding the woman's hand longer than necessary? And why in the world she wanted to cut her hand away from Krystal's? But, Jennie didn't know the answer!
