September 1952~ Present Day, 13 Weeks

I jump up from the couch and run upstairs. I make it just in time, vomiting in the toilet for what feels the hundredth time today, my entire lunch spilling into the toilet bowl. Thirteen weeks pregnant doesn't feel any different than the last few weeks but my Mom told me that by the end of the week the vomiting should subside but until then I still have to put up with it.

School has started back up, Peeta drives the three hours to his college and Haymitch drops me off at the factory on his way to work. The cottage over the course of two weeks Peeta and I have managed to make the cottage more homely with a second-hand lamp from my parents and the extra utensils he has or doesn't use.

With my job we have just enough money to by enough food to live on. I've also managed to form friendships with Annie and Johanna, they've come to be great friends to me and they didn't judge the cottage when they came over to meet Peeta. They defend me when I'm not there to defend myself and stand behind me when I am standing up for myself.

After I've vomited my guts out, I flush the toilet and stand on shaky legs. I brush my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth and the smell out of my breath. I walk back downstairs but just as I sit back down on the couch there's a knock at the door. I groan out in annoyance and force myself up to open the door, when I do a woman pushes through

"Look at this place. A definite downgrade from New York" the woman says, she's wearing her hair in an elegant style and wears a purple blazer over a white blouse, pants, purple gloves that end at her wrist and purple heels. She's definitely a business woman.

"I'm sorry but who are you?" I ask

"Peeta never mentioned me?" She replies, I shake my head

"Well, I'm his aunt. Effie Trinket" she extends her gloves hand. I accept it and shake it slowly

"Katniss Mellark. What exactly are you doing here?" Katniss asks

"I was contacted by my dear Brother in-law, Peetas' Father. I've come with some old furniture of mine" she replies, doing a hand signal and random men come in to start taking away the couch we've been using, only to return with a clean and much fancier 'L' shaped couch that sits in its place

"I can't let you do this. We don't have the money to pay you back" I tell the woman as she directs the men who are moving furniture

"Nonsense! I don't want my baby nephew and his wife living with barely anything. Especially if there's a baby on the way" Effie says as I follow her upstairs, she opens our room and gasps

"My dear... that is one flimsy mattress. Thank goodness I brought appropriate room furniture" she starts walking back downstairs and I follow her

"I know he's your nephew but we're not some charity case. We don't need to be babied" I scowl at the woman

"Young lady... I am here to make this place much more comfortable. It's not exactly appealing. Neither are your people skills, my dear" she replies

"And you don't think we're capable at getting our own furniture?" I frown

"You are more capable—bedroom things upstairs! First door on the left!—I'm just giving you both a head start in the process" she answers, walking around to inspect the kitchen

"Where'd you want this, Mrs Trinket?" My eyes immediately widen at the men holding the television

"Put it on the stand across from the couch. Make sure to position it a safe distance from the fireplace" Effie instructs

"Why are doing this? I've never heard of you or seen you being here ever. Why help us even if his Dad did ask you?" I ask, crossing my arms

"Because, I am not my Sister" she replies, I'm shocked by her reply because her and Mrs Mellarks personalities are completely different, I'm suddenly extremely interested in learning why that is exactly.
