Deku wants to send you a message

I paused my movements at the sudden ping, cursing as the sodium began to react with the water. Immediately, the hydrogen gas began to emanate from the beaker and a small flame burst atop the sodium.

With another curse I jumped from my seat and rushed to the window, throwing it open and frantically waving any gas out into the atmosphere. One more fire this week and I'm ground. I can't risk getting my iron taken away again.

Once the reaction was taken care of, I turned my attention back to the source of my troubles: my phone. Someone had messaged me, or tried to at least. Slip, the newest messaging app, had popped a notification on my home screen, telling me some user named 'Deku' was trying to send me a message.

Quoi? Last time I checked, none of my friend we're 'unable to achieve anything' but to each their own. I tried to see into the phone as though I could read the message without actually reading it.

Well, that's not going to work. I thought with a shrug. What's the worst that could happen anyway?
