Song: To build a home - The Cinematic Orchestra

——————————————————————-

Harry's mind raced in shock at the sudden lips on his own, but the warm, pleasurable feeling that radiated throughout his body brought him to kiss back, wrapping his arms tenderly around the blonde's neck and melting into the contact.

A soft, pleasing light of red magic radiated from the golden boy's chest, wrapping itself around the two boys, pulling them closer.

The same thing happened to Draco, a green magic intertwining with the red. The kiss lingered for awhile, before both boys pulled back, gasping for air.

A series of cheers and claps erupted around the pair, but they weren't paying mind to anything but the others eyes.

"I love you.." Draco whispered, averting his attention to the ground in fear of rejection.

Harry placed two fingers under Draco's chin, lifting it so that Draco was forced to look Harry in the soft forest green eyes.

"I love you too, Draco. So much." He smiled gently, taking the boy's hands in his own and pulling him in again for another kiss.

"You owe me 6 galleons, Ron." Hermione smirked as she watched the two finally admit their love for one another.

Ron groaned. "Damnit! You couldn't have waited 2 more months, Harry?"

Hermione giggled at the sight of her red-headed boyfriend tugging at his hair in frustration.

"Pay up." She demanded, sticking her palm flat in front of the Weasley's face. Instead of dropping coins in her hand, he grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers.

"I don't have any galleons on me right now. I'll pay you back later." He muttered in pity.

Hermione rolled her eyes. "Please, Ron, you look like a 6 year old who just got their lollipop taken away. Lighten up." She laughed, playfully poking him on the shoulder while giving his hand a squeeze. Ron just huffed in response.

"I'm glad that you both are finally happy. After 18 years of pressure, stress, unfair treatment, and so much more, you have finally found the source of your true happiness, each other. With this happiness, came love. I cannot express just how proud I am of you both. Unfortunately though, you have officially fulfilled your destines. As much as I hate informing you so, now that you've found your glee, it is time to go soon. I cannot say just how long you have left, but make use of it as much as you can. See you soon, boys."  Dumbledore's voice rung out in the heads of Harry and Draco.

The two widened their eyes and glanced at one another in uncertainty.

"Er, did you get that too?" The raven asked hesitantly. Draco nodded.

"We should probably head in, then.." The pale boy suggested.

The group of six consisting of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Pansy, Blaise, and Draco all sat in front of the fire in the common room that night. Everyone else at Hogwarts were energetic and gleeful throughout the remainder of that Tuesday, while Harry and Draco had just been at ease.

"Why do you two look like you've seen a ghost or something?" Hermione questioned, perking her eyebrow at the anxious boys.

Harry sighed. "It's just, er, we uh.." The raven attempted to get the words out of his mouth, but simply couldn't.

"We have fulfilled our destinies, and found happiness. Once your destiny is fulfilled, typically wizards and muggles alike, die soon after. Because of our Serpent bond, that date is even closer. As in at some point in the next 16 hours closer." Draco explained, his face falling even more than it already was.

Shock, disbelief, despair, anger, pity, and millions of other emotions were plastered on each face in the group other than Harry and Draco.

"No. No. No. NO. NO! I can't- we can't.." Hermione trailed off, tears streaming down her currently pale cheeks. Harry shushed her, rubbing her back soothingly until Ron took over.

"Mate, you can't be serious. This has to be some sort of sick prank, right? Please tell me it is just a sick prank." The red head pleaded sadly.

"It's not. I'm sorry." Harry spoke quietly, his voice breaking. "But.. there are a few things that I want to say. Before I'm too late. I wanted to thank you, especially Hermione and Ron, for everything that you've done for me. I wouldn't, and I mean wouldn't have made it all these years without you guys. You both saved me on multiple occasions, and stuck by my side no matter how dangerous the situation. I couldn't be more thankful, and I will miss you dearly for the years I have to spend without you. But this isn't goodbye forever. Remember that." The golden boy spoke with a forced smile, sobs escaping his lips

Draco, who was to everyone's surprise also crying, rubbed small comforting circles on Harry's back as the raven embraced his two best friends for one of the final times.

The blonde sighed, before shakily speaking. "Blaise, Pansy. You both know that I'm never cheesy and sentimental, but because at the moment I am, you can tell I'm serious. I also wanted to thank you, as you were the first two real friends that I've ever had. And even after all my mistakes, you stuck by my side. I definitely wouldn't be sat here at this very moment, happy and awaiting my demise, if it were for you. In 1st - 4th year, before we met, I had friends of course, like Crabbe and Goyle, but they were never people that I could truly rely on. In 5th year, when Blaise arrived, and the three of us begun to get along, my life felt almost complete. Sometimes, I would even forget that Voldemort was living at my home when I was around you two, though at the time I would never admit it. So, thank you." He smiled, biting back the new tears threatening to fall.

"Oh blimey. We love you too, Dray." Pansy spoke, dragging Blaise and the three fell into their own embrace. Within a few minutes, all six friends were caught in one large hug.

They separated, and Harry spoke, "It's getting late. I think I'm going to go hit the hay, literally." He laughed sadly.

Everyone broke down into one final fit of cries, before they all prepared to go their separate ways.

"Goodbye, Harry and Draco. You will both be missed."

At 11:09 pm, Harry and Draco lay snuggled up, refusing to sleep knowing they'd never wake back up.

At 11:10 pm, both boys felt their consciousness slowly slipping. Draco wrapped Harry's hand in his own, and intertwined their fingers.

"Hogwarts too?" He asked with a smile.

"Yes," Harry replied.

The two boys broke out in painful laughter, before it gradually died down into complete silence.

Draco quickly sat up, and gave Harry a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight, Harry. See you in the next life."

The clock slowly flipped from 11:10 to 11:11.
