Have you encountered a time when you were sure you have placed a certain object in a certain place, only to not find the said object where you have left it after a couple of minutes? Well, that happens to your narrator here quite often. It was like the object has magically grown legs and walked away to another area.

The scary thing about this is not the sudden disappearance of the item. Honestly, it would be when you acknowledge your mother about the missing article. Because two minutes later, the object would be found in her hands like magic. Moreover, growing up with Asian parents, yours truly would expect an earful from their loving mother.

In this chapter however, our characters would learn that an item with no legs magically disappearing is no match to the trepidation of finding a living person with legs suddenly vanishing while they were camping outdoors. Not only that, but also this certain person's independent ability could not be trusted. I'm sure you could easily tell where this would be going.

Dororo was sweating profusely from anxiety upon realizing your form was nowhere to be seen in the area. First of all, GPS wasn't available in this era, making it impossible for her to track you down. Second, she doubts Hyakkimaru would be cooperative with searching for you after the events from the previous chapter. Third, you were the type to be mauled by a bear especially with how pathetic you would act in those types of situations.

"Aniki, what should we do?!" Dororo panicked as she grabbed the male's kimono, shaking him. "Onee-san is missing, and you're not even batting an eye at the problem."

"I don't care." Hyakkimaru scoffed, childishly hard-headed as he lets his pride take over. He turned his head away from Dororo's pouting face, standing his ground. Admittedly, the pale raven-head wasn't that attached to you, even enough to dislike you after being at fault for having the demon get away.

"You are really childish, you know that." The child remarked, sighing exasperatedly as it seemed she won't go anywhere with Hyakkimaru. Ruffling his messy locks, she grumbled. "You stay here, aniki, and don't go anywhere while I search for Onee-san."

"Why am I the one babysitting two grown teenagers anyways?" Dororo mumbled to herself as she stomped her way to search for the (h/c)-haired girl.

It made her ears perk up upon realizing a pair of footsteps were tailing behind her. The onyx-haired girl breathed out a sigh, already knowing that Hyakkimaru had decided to follow her, not doing what she had instructed of staying put behind.

"I thought you didn't want to search for her, aniki." The young girl mentioned, cocking an eyebrow questionably towards the teenaged male. There was a brief silence, Hyakkimaru not uttering a singled word to Dororo's disappointment. "I don't know if you're just being childish, not wanting to admit you don't hate Onee-san to that extent. Or, you're just acting like your usual unpredictable self." She grinned afterwards, adding to her statement. "Well, I hope it's the former though."

Hyakkimaru scoffed in response, earning him an amused chuckle from the raven-haired child.

While strolling around with Hyakkimaru in tail, Dororo called out your name out loud repeatedly, hoping it would catch your attention and would lead you running to her direction while whining and complaining, crying. Honestly, the boyish girl would prefer for that scenario happening, instead of finding your dead corpse after being attacked by some wild animal.

Well, she was hoping you're not dead yet. Dororo has learned to care for you, even after such a short period of time. How touching for you.

"What are you shouting my name about, Dororo?" Hearing the familiar cynical tone in the familiar voice, Dororo whipped her head around to search for the source. Feeling a tug from her messy ponytail, she turned her head to which direction it came from to meet your profile who had one hand grabbing her messy locks.
