I tend to sleep talk. The moment I had mentioned so during the first day of school back in eighth grade, my classmates had bursted laughing along with my teacher -- the culprit of the sudden revelation. Since she had already taught us history back in seventh grade, she asked us to not bother telling her our names, instead she requested us to state one interesting trivia about ourselves. And, my dumbass who didn't want to announce I have a mole in my armpit in front of thirty or so students decided to go with my sleep talk.
It took a minute or so of me laughing awkwardly with the class to spare me the embarassment, before our teacher had cleared her throat, silencing as she returned to her strict demeanor. I honestly appreciated her firm action to cease the fits of laughter, though she was practically the one at fault here. As she had let me return to my seat, she then mentioned how lucky I am that I only talk in my sleep; she had mentioned how dangerous it is to walk in your slumber.
Well, I did not know of anyone who has quite a unique quirk, not paying much thought to her words. Although, if you were to think about it carefully, it is rather creepy to find someone walking unconcious -- who knows, they might be possessed by a demonic being. I would be lying if I said it wouldn't be thrilling to see one, I'll admit.
"...nk goodness! I finally found you."
I let out a soft groan uoon hearing the concerned tone I recognized to be Yonokawa's. If it weren't for him tapping on my cheeks gently and the relentless gushing of the words "(Y/N)" and "wake up", I would have been able to return to my sleep. Slowly lifting my eyelids, I stared dazedly at the water deity's pale features. Meeting his twinkling sapphires, I watched as he heaves out a deep sigh before pulling me to his chest, stroking my hair.
"You gave me quite a fright, my child." The platinum-haired male heaves out a sigh before slowly loosening his hold. He sends me a reassuring smile before ruffling the already tousled locks on my head. "We should go back to the shrine."
I was utterly confused with the current situation, wondering how on Earth I had reached the woods -- in fact, alone, late at night, and in my sleep. So this is how dangerous sleep walking can be? What my female teacher had mentioned back in grade eight crossed my mind, mentally thanking the heavens that I wasn't mauled by a bear in such a vulnerable state.
Under the waxing moon, I took note of how the moonlight left kisses on the water god's features, a stunning view actually -- as expected from a deity. In the background, I could hear the crickets chirping, owls hooting, and the crunch of dead leaves and twigs with every step we took. It was more or less a twenty minute hike before we had reached the peak, where the Mizudera stood.
I was mentally panicking at how deep I was in the forest, inwardly agitated with my own careless actions. Deciding that my irrelevant thoughts would all be for naught, I decided to breathe out a sigh, letting Yonokawa lead me back to my room. With shoulders slumped, I dragged my feet to where I was supposedly sleeping, yawning as I dropped on the soft futon.
Ah, I wonder how those two are doing. A fleeting thought as I drifted to sleep.

Trailing his teal-hued orbs at your arm, the silvet-haired divinity gently traces his index and middle finger on the casing of your skin, thick vermilion stains now tainting his white tone. Softly mumbling an incantation, crystal-like water swirls around the room as if in a public display. The liquid then seeps through your person, purifying your form from any trace of blood and your previous state.
Sighing in relief, Yonokawa watches you relax in your sleep.
It sure has been quite a hassle for hin these days, just after taking a short break in the far shore. He leaves to question his fellow deities why a being from another dimension had entered their world and before he knew it, the harmless visitor had become unstable -- their world finally rejecting what does not belong in the universal equilibrium.
