The warm gentle breeze of the afternoon blew his way. He felt a little relieved. He has been feeling suffocated since the revelation yesterday. He did not realize what a monster he's been turning into.

He should have investigated to find out why she came with a proposal a day after she rejected his offer. But he was too blind and focused on himself to care.

Now he felt so remorseful. After all the girl only spilled coffee on him. Come to think of it not much harm has come from him loosing that contract he blames her for all these months.

Even if there was he had made her go through hard times at his company. He knew if not for her determination and strong spirit she would have quit already.

He definitely have to make it up to her somehow. Definitely.

"Daddy, until now I've not heard any news. The news is supposed to be all over by now." Daddy's little girl whined.

"Patience my darling, just trust your dad on this one okay. It's not even up to twenty four hours. "

"okay daddy, I trust you. " He smiled hearing her words.

Amrah was only waiting to hear about Areef's marriage to be called off so she can hop in her car, find Airah and make her wish she never set her eyes on Areef.

Amrah and her father are in total belief that the marriage will be called off. Unknown to them, it was just their mere assumption.

Being it a Saturday, Airah was at home enjoying herself. She didn't wake up till zuhr prayer was called.

Though she isn't going through torture from Areef now, the whole marriage stuff was stressing her out. A lot. She decided today will be her day. It will be all about her. She will pretend everything is okay, pretend her father wasn't duped, pretend she isn't going into a contract marriage with her boss that makes her week days hell. Pretend she is just Airah.

Just for today. She thought.

After she's had her bath she descended the stairs. Ummee had made lunch already. She could remember Ummee telling her they were heading to the hospital for Abba's appointment.

She made herself a plate and settled on the sofa. She turned on the TV and blackish was on. She smiled as she loved the sit com.

She was brought out of her focus on the TV when her phone started ringing. And the ring tone was all too familiar.

She shut her eyes as she felt like crying.

"There goes my 'me'day."

She didn't pick on time and it became a missed call. She shrugged and was about to go back to her blackish when the phone started blarring again.

She picked up the phone.

"Boss from hell " was written boldly.

She released a sigh and swiped the green button.

"Hello."

No answer. She tried again.

"Hello? "

Still quite.

"Hello sir? "

She thought it must be the network. Meanwhile.
