A knock on her door made Amrah to look towards the door. It’s been about 4 days since she found out about Areef getting married. She wasn’t eating much which got her parents worried but apart from that they pretty much let her be.

She ignored whoever was at the door and got back to her reverie. They knock came again and she hissed getting up to key the door before they attempt to open her door since they seemed determined together.
As she turned the key she heard a voice not belonging to either her mother or father.

“Amrah please open the door, it’s me.” Was that Ruwaida? She hesitated before opening the door and walking back to her bed as Ruwaida entered. She followed her to the bed studying her face.

“Do you know how worried I was when you stormed out like that? I couldn’t sleep these past days until I was able to get mummy’s number and got the address. What happened?”
Amrah didn’t even spare Ruwaida a glance up till now.

“Was it something about the wedding that made you upset? I’m sorry for showing you if that is the case. I didn’t mean to.”

Ruwaida was about to give up when Amrah spoke up. “That bitch snatched him from me, That wedding was supposed to be mine. Areef was supposed to be looking and smiling at me like that not her but because of that conniving bitch he was blinded with innocent act like she’s just a bloody gold digger.”

Ruwaida was beyond confused. She tried to wrap her head about what Amrah was just spitting.
“You mean you were together with Areef, as in you dated? What happened?”

“That vile girl happened, you know our parents were about to discuss our wedding when that snake of a girl managed to seduce him under the pretense of being his secretary. She has got him wrapped around her little finger. She must have done something to him to make him even look her way talk more of thinking to marry and actually marrying her.”

Amrah was shedding tears by now as she fed Ruwaida all her assumptions. Seeing her friend that way Ruwaida listened to her full of sympathy and pity and hatred for Airah.

She spent a lot of time consoling Amrah and promising her to help her get back what’s hers and advised her to at least make peace with her parents as they are very worried about her and she shouldn’t take out her anger on them.

Ruwaida was genuinely convinced with what Amrah told her and left the house with one thing on her mind, to help her friend and she knows where to start from.

Reaching home she found her husband was back from work already. She went to him giving him a peck. He was focused on his work but seeing her he kept the computer aside and gave his wife attention.

“I thought you would get lost or something, guess I was worried for nothing.” He smiled lovingly at his wife.

“You know I have killer sense of direction. Beside I just need to give the cab driver the address. How was work? You are home early.”

“’Well there wasn’t much to do today and I think it will take just one more meet and the deal will be finalized. Then I won’t have to go to work, just school which is eight hours a week so we will have tons of time together.” He pecked her on the cheeks.

“That will be really great. You did not ask about my friend, the one I went to see.” She pouted a bit.
He face palmed. “I’m sorry, I was about to but it slipped when my beautiful wife gave me a peck that locked my brain. How is she? I hope she’s alright.”

She heaved. “Well she’s a bit okay when I left. Did you know she was your boss’ ex?”
He looked at her as if she’s grown two heads. “My boss as in the CEO? Areef?”
