But, in the end, he left the demonic Manor with Lady Redforth and the Imp.
Such was the dread he felt that he was glad to do anything to live.
And, as he got into the huge black carriage, Maycroft, the Driver, gripped the reigns of the demon horses, and they headed to the Redforth Manor, as the sound of hellish bells could be heard ringing 10 times, signalling 10 o'clock at night.
James rested in the Servant's part of the dark carriage, as the events of the day took its toll on him, knowing that the evening was far from over.
