Chapter 11: Stelena Cliff

The light began to fade and night struck quicker then ever. The search for the cure  took hours and nothing was found except for a bit of detail about the cure being in a "safe place". We finally got more information for the cure. We had gone into a cave but we had gotten Jeremy to do it because it was blocked of vampires.

The cave had writing on the walls and explained that a witch gifted a man with immortality, but I couldn't understand the rest. I was guessing it was Silas but I couldn't quite get my finger on who the witch was. We ended the search for the day but we were going to take a day off tomorrow. We were not any closer to finding the cure than when we were two days ago. We had slept in two tents that were huge, we had brought them from home but we had forgotten about them until tonight.

Well at least no one would sleep alone tonight . We had all slept in peace, knowing no one was in too much of a risk at dying. Damon, Bonnie ,Rebekah and Caroline slept in one tent and Elena and Jeremy and I slept on another .

In the tent I was in, Elena and I were next to each other in one side of the tent and Jeremy just crept alone in the other side. I felt sort of bad for the kid but I didn't want to wake up Elena.

I had taken out my phone for a check on Damon to see if he was still awake, from the near death experience Damon had, I wanted to make sure that in my life I would be ok with my brother and not fighting with him.

Stefan} damon you awake

Damon} why texting so late, brother?

Stefan} just checking, what's happening in your tent?

Damon} well nothing much just sleeping and girl gossip. What they don't know is that I'm very good at eavesdropping.

I sometimes laugh at my conversations with my brother. It makes me realize how crazy my life is. Soon or later I check the time. 3 AM!!!! I haven't gotten any sleep, then again I don't need it because I'm a vampire. I put my arm around Elena and closed my eyes. I soon woke up In the tent. Jeremy was still there but Elena was gone. I checked the time, 12 pm! woah .I got out the tent to check if they had left . I watched outside For Elena. When I saw her I smiled and walked to her. "Good Morning, Mr.Salvatore" she kissed me. "Hey, why didn't you wake me up?" I asked. "I didn't want to wake you from your sleep, you looked so sound" elena said

"oh well when are we going to search for this cure today?" I asked ,"Yeah, well you see, we're not going to remember?" Elena bit her tongue "Oh right, day off"I nodded my head in agreement."well shouldn't we at least look for a little while, maybe just a couple minutes or-" was all I said before getting cut off. "Nope. Today we relax. and try to stay away from the danger that is our crazy supernatural lives" Elena said. I kissed her forehead and picked her up.

"Hey, hey where are you taking m-" she said, but I interrupted  her by kissing her. I walked farther away with her in my arms as she teasingly yelled things like "where are you taking me" and "this is kid napping". I finally had put her down. She took a moment to realize where we were. "Woah this is beautiful" she said as she stared at everything her eyes could see. "I know. I found this place a few days ago as we were looking for food" I said

I was referring to the beautiful scenery in front of my eyes. It was cliff of a mountain with a lake. The view from the top was amazing and beautiful and the sun reflecting off the lake was gorgeous, as well as the broken lily pads in the lake and the wet orange/brown flowers  shining in the sun while floating on the lake

"stefan its-" elena  stopped for a moment "epic" she let out.

she turned to me and smiled. "if we ever get married, I want it to be here, although I'm too young to think about that, but still" elena said

she look a breath and walked to the edge cliff

"Ready" she said

"What are you-"

"One" she cut me off

"Elena?"

"Two"

"Three"

she took a breath in

"Here goes nothing" she said. She jumped off the cliff .Elena!" I yelled after her. I watched the figure of her body slowly disappear "Agh" I jumped down to help her. The fall was short .Elena laid on the ground of the place

"That was amazing" she said ,her eyes looked as if in a trance. "let's go" I said as I helped her up. "That rush, the fear, the danger. It was an amazing feeling" she said. Her voice slowly whispered into the wind, blending in like a smooth fog over your head. It was a little cracky but still silkily smooth. She jumped to me and hugged me tight."Let's go back up" she said . LI don't think you can jump that high yet" I said. Elenas smile slowly turned into curiosity, "No worries, I'll carry you"  I said

Her smile came back as she jumped into my arms. "One..two-" I jumped before she could finish ."AHH-heh" her screamed turned into giggles and her giggles turned into laughs. By the time she was laughing harder we were already back on the cliff

"We can walk back, we're barely far from the tents" I said. Elena and I walked to the tents. it took 10-15 minutes ."Now where have you two been?" Rebekah asked. Her accent was so cool, it got to me every time

"cliff" I replied

Rebekah smiled at me.

I was confused yet relieved at the fact that she hadn't mentioned that I had slept with her about a week ago. Before I made up with elena. and slightly after. I was drunk. I was glad that that was over.
