Chapter Eleven Part one

Recap:Lena Pov • "Kara you don't have to thank me, I'll be here if you need me" Kara kissed my lips softly "I like the sound of this lena I really do"

Kara's POV•
Kara you don't have to thank me, I'll be here if you need me" my mind was clear in the first time in all of this mess and my mind was telling me to kiss  "I like the sound of this lena I really do" She is willing to take it slow she is willing to like help me figure this out?! What I'm so confused what did I do for her to say that she will do that for me like woah I don't even really know what to say but holy shit. I don't know what to do know I'm so awkward like we're genuinely just sitting here like just snuggling and yeah I know people do this but you know it's just a little bit on the awkward side nothing being said after that conversation? We're both just thinking about stuff. "Kara are you okay?" I look up and nod "ok I should be getting off I don't want to impose"Lena says getup" what do I do?! Do I do anything?! Oh rao this is so confusing!! "You can stay if you want...only if you want to though... Is that weird? Sorry I am rambling, it's late you can stay if you want I don't mind taking the sofa?" Lena smiles a little bit "if anyone's taking the sofa it's me" "well I'm not letting you sleep on the sofa?" Lena raises an eyebrow "is that right?" "Well looks like your sleeping in the bed" "only if your sleeping with me" Lena said "NOT LIKE THAT IT JUST CAME OUYVIN THE WRONG WAY" Lena shouted "hahaha it's cool friends have sleepovers right?" Kara you idiot you literally sounded like a five year old, "yeah hm friends have sleepovers" Lena said sounding a little confused "Lena I'm sorry, I'm just awkward i didn't mean friend well I did mean friend but good friend oh Jesus I'm going to stop digging deeper but yeah I'd love it if you stayed here" I said pointing at the bed. Lena smiled as she took off her shorts and gets into bed I go into my draw and grab a baggy T-shirt "here you go" I throw it to Lena she smiles "thanks" she pulls her top off right there holy shit she is very attractive, I notice that I am literally as red as a tomato right now I just stay facing the other way. "Kara I'm dressed" Lena said laughing at me "I find how awkward you are so cute" great now I'm even redder. I turn around and smile and Lena burst out laughing "I'm sorry but you literally look like a naughty child" "hey shut up"I say getting into bed next to her, Lena pulls me closer while snuggling down, she kisses my head while getting her place as my big spoon, "good night Kara" I smile but obviously she can't see, "Gooood night Lena"

2weeks later•

Me and Lena haven't spoken since the morning after it was pretty fast she had to go work so did I, it was very Pg.
Lena has rang, text and emailed me and I haven't answered, don't judge me I just got deal with it right now there's a lot going on at the DEO and I'm a reporter now I have less free time.

Anyway tonight cat has another gala and of course she gets me to set up and design it because her new assistant doesn't get it right apparently. So it's now 6pm I have to be at the venue soon and no I don't have a date so James,Alex, Maggie and win. As I get in the car with Maggie and Alex finishing checking that my hair was okay in my small mirror. "Hey Kar, you look incredible" Alex says "Little Danvers you scrub up well" I burst out laughing "Thanks y'all I didn't think this looked good" then both turn and look at me "you are joking?!" Alex says " nope I'm not" "you look incredible Kara honestly" "thank you Al" I say smiling, after a bit of small talk we are finally at the venue, Alex turns and looks at me "have you spoken to her?" I shake my head no "you know she's probably going to come tonight" I froze because I completely forgot " I will take that as a no you didn't realise, has she stopped messaging and calling" I nod " ok that means she's probably leaving you too it because your not interested. " it's not that I'm just scared about my sexuality I have to think of other things like I'm supergirl imagine how she would react? She is a Luther and a good one but imagine if she doesn't take that well ?! I'm screwed" Alex and Maggie both looked at me shocked. " we have to get in there anyway. I say getting out the car.
At the ball•
Miss grant came running upto me, " you out did yourself this is incredible Kara"  I smiled "thank you miss grant" she gave me the look " I mean cat" she stated laughing " enjoy your evening Kara mingle! You have the night off but I am going to do my mini me speech so I make sure you mingle" kat said walking off laughing. I shake my head and go over to my friends.
James has got his arm around my waist and we are moving to the music not to much tho, Alex looked at me confusingly and then her eyes dart past me, "Lena is with a very handsome man, his hand is on her lower back and she is smiling at him. Cat grant came over to me. Arched a brow "you Two?!" I shook my head no "are you sure?" I laugh " honestly" "hmm, sure. Anyway can I borrow you for a moment?" I look at her "yes what for?" "Well the last article you wrote about miss Luther was incredible so I wanted to propose to her that you been her main reporter for all our media coverage of her, for example Who she's saying what she's doing" all of the colour drained from my face I can feel it " you will also get a pay increase because she is high profile" Alex looks at me with the same reaction "come on then chop chop" miss grant says linking my arm practically dragging me across the gala, "hello Lena,how lovely it is to see you" miss grant says french kissing Lena, lena looks at me and looks away, "and who might this be?!" Miss grant says " this is christen he's an old friend" cat looks at me mouths are you ok, I nod " this is Kara the next face of catco she still has some loosening up to go, you did an interview with her do you remember?" "I'm so sorry i don't recall I have so many they kinda just get mixed up" "well not to worry, all of our future story's I want Kara to write them I just wanted your opinion before I do so" Lena nodded "sounds good cat" she doesn't look at me once cat looked between us "well I've never been in a situation like this one Kiera stop being so awkward you've got this now come see me after you have sorted your next topic" Lena smirks at Kiera, "I'm just going to the bathroom please excuse me" christen says kissing Lena on the lips quickly rubbing her back, well aren't I happy that I didn't fall for her, who am I kidding I am so jealous right now how can she say all of that to me about taking it slow then as soon as I need time she jumps on someone else's dick. As he walks away I can see his feet because I'm looking down, "Kara?" I can feel the tears in my eyes. I just carried on looking down no way she's seeing me upset. "Kar?" I let out a breath held my head up " I will contact you in a few days miss Luther in regards to what topic you would like to focus on. It was nice seeing you tonight I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening." I let out in one breath then turning around head up looking ,for Alex. Alex made eye contact with me started walking straight at me, "wow that's all I get?" Lena said under her breath but I can't I walk off I can't. Yea I'm here with James but I DONT stand there kissing him, hm that's an idea, "hey princess" Alex said softly " I'm so proud of you for even going over there, 2secs and we will be at the bathroom and you can let it out" I just nod "thanks al" As soon as the bathroom door shut I burst into tears " I know I ignored her I get that and yea that's my fault but to kiss him in front of my face and act like she didn't tell me nearly two weeks ago that she is falling for me and that she would wait for until I'm ready, al that's not waiting that's rubbing it in my face that I'm not good enough for her" I burst out crying I go Alex's shoulder " hey hey hey, no body should make you feel like this okay! You Kara are do beautiful and so smart that any woman or man will fall for you! Look st James he's as gay as can be(he told us when you walked to lena) but he still loves you like you are his girl crush ! So you Kara are incredible you are inferior you just need to see it because we all can" I love my sister so much, I grip onto her giving her the biggest hug "you are the best I love you thank you Alex" "I love you two but you are literally going to break every bone in my body" I start laughing "see there's the Kara I know, now let's fix your make up and hair" we come out the stall and Alex takes my hair down and gives me some pounder and mascara, my hair is down and wavey you can't even tell I was crying anymore. "Thank you Alex" alex smiles "what are big sisters here for?" We walk out the bathroom and Alex says she will stay with me while I go to miss grant "miss grant" miss grant takes one look at me "who upset you?" This woman " no one" "don't lie dear, just an ex just had a phone call it was odd, this is my sister by the way she helped me figure stuff out" cat looked at me she knew I wasn't telling the truth " we will catch up about that on Wednesday you need the weekend and a few days off, take the time to write or whatever, just clear you mind" today is Thursday so she's gave me a lot of time off "and Kara you are like my daughter I know when you are lying and if anyone has hurt you, we can talk about it off record of course, I'm only a phone call away" I smile at her " I know thank you! And I will be taking you up on it on Tuesday" "Thank you" I give her a hug and walk off "she's actually a lovely lady you know" Alex says " I know she looks after me" Alex smiles. As we get back to everyone "you ok kar" James says giving me a hug, I nod, Maggie looks up " do not make it obvious but Alex look at your 4 o'clock Alex looks over her 4 o'clock laughing at Maggie " Kara Lena is watching you so badly, like wowa" James put his arm around my waist " I hate to say this but I think you two should give her a show you know payback" "I'm not kissing James that's so not happening" James laughs kissing my cheek " I agree with Kara" James said "she didn't like that little kiss that's irritated her, "Wait you and Lena?!!!" James arched his eyebrow "sorta but not anymore" wins mouth dropped so did James " I mean I'm proud of you for stepping out of your comfy zone" I hugged James, win is doing like a clap happy dance. I start laughing what would I do without these fools?
45 mins later •
We are now leaving why? Because win brought some alien alcohol and I am not apparently highly intoxicated, James is looking after me as we walk out I'm not like loud drunk I'm like I'm about to fall over drunk so her just held be round my waist walking out, Miss grant found me amusing, as we are waiting for our car James left me on the steps sitting down with some water as he went to find the other three as they just ran off and the car is coming, "hey Kara" oh no it's literally the devil herself, she sat next to me "Kara is not available right now" I say "Kara don't be like that" I look at her, right now she has no idea I'm drunk " don't be like what? I don't want to see you lena I really don't, you already wrecked my night" Lena now looks confused " why don't you go kiss him in front of me again because that's going to make me fall into your arms any faster" Lena looked upset " that was uncalled for" Lena said angrily " what's uncalled for is you making me sob to my sister in a bathroom stall at a gala then come upto me like we're best friends Goodnight miss Luther " I go to get up and go to walk off but you know drunk Karas legs don't work without Help so I literally face plant the floor. Lena runs to help me " I don't need your help" I say as she is practically carrying me to her car " you know your crazy drunk right now" " well obviously I would have avoided you if I was sober, let me tell my friends where I'm going they will be worried" well that was an uncalled but smart dig Kara. Lena literally just locked me in a car and walked off.
10 mins or so later•
"Alex knows where you are she said we need to sort this out so you are coming to my place." Well fucking great.
