~Adrestia's PoV~

Myself and the boys had arrived at a nearby cafe, we ordered food and drink, Aziraphale a slice of Battenberg cake and cup of tea and Crowley and myself ordered some coffee. I took mine black whilst Crowley took his with a splash of milk. I always tease him about this saying that I was better than him, more elite, as I could drink it with no additives but he would often laugh and say that isn't something I should be proud of. He was right, truthfully I hated the taste of coffee but I became immune to the taste as like many people these days, I needed coffee to function heheh. Once we had placed our orders, I left the gruesome twosome alone to get changed out my blood and paint-stained outfit into something much cleaner. Once I entered the bathrooms I locked the door, making sure nobody else was with us before clicking both my fingers, changing my outfit completely and folding my old clothes into a neat pile on the floor. With a smirk I collected my clothes, unlocking the door and walking out to the mirror. I hummed a simple tune whilst checking my make-up, adding another coat to my faded lips and touching up my mascara. I was screwing the lid back on when I felt a pair of eyes on me. Being death I was used to this, my eyes often catching peoples attention but this was a different gaze. Not the curious type, more of an enraged. "We need to talk Death" The man's voice sent shivers down my spine. I had been awaiting this conversation but I thought I would at least have more time. I gulped as I slowly turned around to face the owner of the voice.

~Crowley's PoV~

I took another sip from my coffee, occasionally glancing over to Adrestia's full cup and wondering what was taking her so long. She had been gone for what felt like ages meaning that not only was I stuck dealing with Mr goody two-shoes myself, but also her coffee was getting cold. I peered over to the toilets, hoping to see her smiling face come out with a goofy explanation as to why she was taking so long but she never seemed to arrive. My mind was racing, what if she left, what if she was hurt or worse. She can't be hurt, she's death in a human cafe what's the worst that could happen to her? I tried to keep telling myself this but deep down I still felt that something was wrong. That I should go check on her but something was preventing me from doing so. Suddenly I heard the scraping of a fork against the plate, it was clearly Aziraphale. Eating his bloody cake and looking at me with a 'sorry' expression.

"You know we might get another human to find him" he suggests, a mouthful of frosting as he said so. "What?" I simply replied, my mind still on Addie as I anxiously waited for her return. "Humans are good at finding other humans, they've been doing it for thousands of years. And the child is partly human. Other humans might be able to sense him." Aziraphale continues, politely stuffing another piece of cake into his gob. "He's the Anti Christ, he's got an automatic defence thingy" I sigh, trying to think of what to call his well, defence thingy. Aziraphale shakes his head. "Suspicion slides off him like..." I shake my head, what was it again? "whatever it is water slides off. If Addie was here she would know!" I say, still worried about her sudden disappearance, I wonder of Aziraphale had noticed. I look over at him, still gladly munching away on his cake and decide probably not. Too engrossed in the spongey heaven. "Got any better ideas? Or one single, better idea?" he asks. I suppose I don't, Addie would. "We should ask Adrestia when she gets back. She's smart she'll know what to do" I say, leaning back in my chair and folding my arms. Aziraphale raises a brow, oh satan give me strength

"Speaking of which... I believe I have a right?" He smirks. "What right is this?" I question, sipping my coffee still with one eye on the ladies bathroom. "The right to say I told you so, I mean really Crowley it was obvious you two were made for each other! Even if she is a powerful entity you are just as powerful and as great as a person as her. From the moment I first met her I knew you two would end up together I just knew it!! But noooo you spent years denying it, lustrums, centuries, millenniums!!" here we go again with the speech of I told you so and blah blah blah from Aziraphale. "Are you even listening Crowley? Hello, I say sometimes I wonder if I am more excited about your newfound love than you are!" he chuckles as I still gaze off into the distance. I was excited, over the moon but I didn't show it off every three seconds like angel over here. I showed affection in my way and that wasn't going to change. "You haven't even filled me in on what your first date was like oh pray thee do tell!" he exclaims, looking innocent in every way. "None of your business Aziraphale" I growl, he looks taken aback before grumbling "Adrestia would have told me". I stand up, having just about enough. My worry was becoming too much for me to handle and I had to check on her. "W-whatever is the matter Crowley?" Aziraphale stutters caught off guard by my sudden movement. "Adrestia has been in that bathroom for 20 minutes now. I think something's wrong" I whisper-yell. Aziraphale checks his watch, "goodness me what should we do?" I raise a brow at him gesturing to us and the door of the toilet. "We can't just barge into the ladies lavatory! That'd be rude." he tuts, getting up to stand beside me. I shake my head disapprovingly "Your friend, my girlfriend, could be in there half dead and you're concerned about manners?!" I shout, gaining a wide eye look of Aziraphale and a few glares off other customers. I sigh as I walk over to a member of staff snatching the keys. "I'll be needing these" I hiss, before walking over to the door, Aziraphale close behind. Trying the doorknob leads to nothing, locked, glad I grabbed keys. I slowly place the key into the hole and turn hearing the slight click of entrance. I pause, hovering above the handle. Who knows what we could find in here, it could be Adrestia perfectly fine just applying make-up or Adrestia lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood. I seriously hoped it wasn't that one. "Crowley I'm sure she's fine but there really is only one way to find out." Aziraphale shakily states from behind me. I take a deep breathe in before slowly inching the door open. We could see into the bathroom.
