The brush glided with ease, the dewy pinkish mixture laying flat along the skin of my face. But my hand froze mid-stroke, eyes wide as I stared at Zuko through my vanity mirror. "A vacation?" I blurted, still not taken in the words that flew out of his mouth with ease.
He lounged in bed, his hair loose as he hummed at my words, eyes scanning the words written in the book that he held with a hand. His hair was still a bit damp, water droplets falling along his shoulders and drizzling down his bare chest. The urge to dry his hair before he fell asleep slipped from my mind – as the words vacation took priority at the moment.
