The Last Angel

Chapter 26

                 "The day before."

Shane's POV-

I was going through the books in the library one day. When I pulled one of the book case and opened it.

It was empty.

Completely empty.

Except for the middle page of the whole book. A thousand pages and only one page had something written.

On this page was one sentence.

"All Angels will grow weaker before their 16th birthday, but will unleash their full potential."

"Full potential?"

"She still hasn't unlocked it then?"

"But how would we know that she does?"

Then the pages began to flip uncontrollably. Until it got to the last page.

'Test. Dream. Find herself.'

"Find herself?"

I questioned as I went to my room after checking on Blossom.

I laid down and fell asleep right away.

Roselyn's Dream

"Roselyn."

"Huh? What? Who?"

My voice cracked as I looked around.

"How could you? How could you let us die?"

Then the person talking appeared in front of me.

"Theo? What do you mean? You're alive!"

I yelled at him. Aggravated that he would say he was dead.

"It was all your fault Roselyn."

"Shut up!"

I screamed as my knees buckled up and I collapsed onto the yellow, dead, lifeless grass. I covered my ears with my hands as I cried.

"He isn't dead."

I repeated to myself multiple times.

"It's a lie."

My tears began to dry up as I sat there for what seemed like hours.

"You're useless. You're selfish. The reason why everyone died is because of you! Why couldn't you have died in the war like all the other angels?"

Tears soaked his cheeks as he yelled at me.

I was flabbergasted. He would never say that to me. So why is he now? Why does he keep lying to me? What is going on?

That was when I realized it.

"This isn't real. You're not the real Theo."

I told the imposter.

"What do you mean? I AM THEO!"

"No. You are not. Theo would never say that to me. He would always cheer me up. Stay by my side. He loves me and I love him. You are an imposter and I want him BACK!"
