After last nights interruption Albot and I had manage to get a few hours of sleep before the alarm had woken us up. I was exhausted to say the least and a grumpy ass wolf ready tongive a good ass beating to anyone who crossed me.

"Come one Crys, I'll drive so you can sleep." Albot chuckles, playing with the end of my braid. Trix and Marcie had announced to us earlier over breakfast that they were mates, something we figgured out after the magic of Maya's charm had dissipated. I was happy for my friends and decided to let Marcie stay home and with Trix. If things went well he would be the Alpha anyways.

"You sure about me staying home?" Marcie asked for the umpteenth time and I growled in annoyance, glaring at her while sipping my chai tea.

"Marcie I suggest you enjoy your time here with your mate and stop bugging Crys before she tears into all of us." Albot says, placing a bag of chocolate chip cookies in front of me. I was tired, moody and not in the mood for anyone after barely getting sleep and they all knew it. I knew Marcie had a problem with me going to the Royal Pack, considering that Alexander had sent her to drag me back years ago. She didn't want me to get hurt and I understood that to a certain degree. But I had to go. Something told me that it was time to take back the throne.

"Marcie everything will be fine and I will call you if I need back up. Besides with me gone the pack needs a female, and Alpha Female, that they can rely on." My voice held reason that even Marcie couldn't refuse as she just nodded and ran over to where I sat, enveloping me in a hug.

"You either come back here safe or you are sitting on that throne. I swear to the goddess if you die I will personally make your afterlife a living hell." I couldn't help but laugh at my friends dramaticness as we pull apart and we say a final farewell before the ones leaving with me headed out and onto the road in various cars.

I had Blake drive ours as I was too tired from last night. Alice, his sister, took the front seat while Albot and I curled up in the back, his hands running through my hair and soothing my nerves. The palace was far north, close to the Alaskan borders in Nunavut. It would be a long drive from Ontario's northern borders.

With a sigh, Albot kisses the crown of my head, pulling me closer to hus warm body and tucking my head under his chin.

"Sleep Crys, you need it love." He whispers and I nod in agreement. His hand continues to play with my hair as sleep takes over me.

"Crys, wake up we are almost there." Albot gently shakes me awake, smoothing my hair back from my face. Blake must have driven over the speed limit to make it within a day. I was both impressed and weary with him having his licence. Once Blake has the chance to fly through in the car there was no stopping the kid.

"How fast did he go?" I ask Albot, watching Alice giggle as the car drifts a corner.

"Faster then you want to know. We are lucky he missed a moose or the car would have flipped." He sighs out, running his hand through his own hair. I couldn't help but narrow my eyes at Blake, the car slowing down as the young wolf senses my gaze.

"Sorry mom." Blake laughs out, winking at me through the review mirror. Alice had started calling me moma after claiming the new pack. She had a nightmare one night during a storm only to wake up and run into my room crying. It had taken a few minutes to calm her down, Albot rubbing her back as I held her tight. When she finally settled down she whimpered out "Moma please don't leave us" before passing out. Blake only said it when he knew he was in trouble or speeding too much.

"We are entering the territory soon, is everyone else behind us or did you lose the rest of our pack members?" I asked the juvenile, seeing his smirk grow.

"They all kept up with me of course. You can't expect us not to race once we have the chance and you'll be proud to know I made our group two hundred from the bet I made." Albot let out a roar of laughter and I couldn't help the pride from this. Blake had become a fine warrior for his age and Trix and I had definately corrupted him into our habbits of making bets, knowing full well we could win it. The kid practically was in the garages with the cars back home when he wasn't doing pack duties or training.

"Good. Guess you want some beer for this then?" I laugh out, leaning forward to kiss Alice on the cheek and fist bump Blake. When Blake had first entered high school in the city I caught him trying to steal beer from Albot knowing full well he wasn't allowed being under age. The kid found it unfair that he couldn't drink even though he was a fully shifted wolf. So I made a deal with him. If he made the money then I would buy him beer with it. The first paycheck he had from his part time job he looked at me with hopeful eyes as he handed me a twenty before school asking for a case of beer. The look on his face when he opened the door to the fridge to find the case cooling off with a note that read "Blake's Beer, do not touch" on it. He was shocked to know I had actually kept my word for him.

"Nah we are saving it for later as 'Get the fuck out of here's money just in case." He chuckles. I couldn't help but be proud of the wolf the pup I had raised grew into. I was shocked when I found out Blake was only twelve when he shifted and thirteen when we met. He was five years younger then me but instinct had slowly taken over and he had become my pup. Now the kid was fifteen and geting closer to finding his mate. Alice still had yet to shift, but she was close and I was proud of how quick she was. I still had her train like any pack member and the little she wolf was able to take down a warrior twice her size. But I couldn't leave her behind in the pack.

I loved them like my own.

The road slowly broadened as the other vehicles caught up to us, forming the lineup behind the hummer we were all in. My hummer. I was happy for the familiarity of the forest. The snow I grew up running in on either side. I was itching to run and prance in it.

Northern Canada was both deadly and beautiful. If you weren't careful up here the snow could fall down in an avalanche and bury you. The forest held predators like bears and native wolves. Regular wolves that were known to attack us werewolves. It was true wolf country up here. Alice turns around with a mischivouse glint in her eyes, a giggle escaping her lips as she looks between me and Albot.

"So moma can I make the joke that if you and Albot end up as mate he would be King of the North and my papa?"

That had all of us laughing as we continued the trip up north and the palace of the royal pack came into view.
