Chasing Allies

After finally getting the mate I always wanted, Albot and I decided to spend the rest of the day outside, chasing each other in wolf form. It was funny watching him try and catch my small form and the frustration it brought him when he realized that his mate was just to fast to handle. Having him as not only my best friend but also my mate was the most phenomenal feeling ever. My pack knew I needed a break after the note was sent to us. Now with the mate bond I couldn't help but think about how surprised their reactions will me.

The low sounds of howls brought my attention the the present and caught my attention. My paws stopped as I closed my eyes and tried to listen carefully. That was until I was tackled to the ground by a large black wolf. Stupid Albot.

[Got you.] He growls playfully before I growl and try to push him off. But he stayed still weighing my small frame down.

[Get off me. Some one crossed the boarders.] I growl unamused snapping at him. The idiot should know that if I stopped it is for a good reason.

[Shit really?] He's off me in seconds as I hear another howl before I run towards it.

[Link the pack?] He asks unsure and I shake my head, paws thundering against the ground.

[No, if it were enemies they would stay quiet.] I answer as the howls grow nearer and I catch the sight of fur. Fur that moved like living ice and fire that it.

[You get Dom I get Amberle.] I give Albot a wolfish grin before we split off. The forest is my home. I knew it like my own body and spent days and nights training Albot about it. It would be easy to tackle the 2 more experienced Alphas with ease.

[Alpha Amberle's and Dominic's pack has arrive to the castle] Narin links. I help back a laugh as my paws silently tread closer to Amberle, my eyes never leaving her flame like fur.

[We know. Albot and I are tracking Dom and Am down. Haven't spare with the two in a while and I could use a little fun. You're in charge till we get back. Also Albot's my mate apparently.] With that I shut off all pack links but Albot's and quickly watch the experienced Alpha before leaping forward and tackling her.

[Got you.] I link my friend with a laugh, rolling around the tall grass and quickly pouncing off again. I sense a shift in the wind and duck just as Dominic flies over me, a hint of mischief in the older wolf's eyes. His fur held twigs and leaves stuck here and there and I knew that Albot must have had his fun.

[Well well well. Looks like we have ourselves a welcome party.] Dominic's fluid voice fills the link as I feel tingles up my spine and a quick lick from Albot.

[And a lot to talk about later.] I shudder as the newly mate bond affects me more and more. His words were like honey to my nerves, soothing me. I see the quirk in facial features as Amberle looks from me to Albot and back to me again. A twinkle in her eyes as she gives me a pointed look.

[Well Amber, you and Dom are it.] I let out before racing away through the forest with Albot. For hours we chased each other around like pups. A moment of tranquility and stress free activity as we let loose.

When the night sky showed itself I decided to take the three to a spot by the lake. The same spot I shifted in years ago.

[Damn I forgot how hard it is to catch you.] Amberle groans as she flops onto the soft grass. A chuckle escapes Dominic who sits beside her, nuzzling the top of her head as the breeze ruffles his ice like fur.

[Its not that hard. Yeah Crystalline is pretty fast but I can easily take her.] Albot boasts proudly and I roll my eyes.

Men.

But he was right. Since he joined my small pack back in the suburbs of Toronto Albot was one of the few regular wolves that can keep up and even surpass me in speed.

[So.] Amberle starts off with a mischievous grin.

[Are you going to tell me what happened between the two of you?] I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her before flopping on the ground and groaning.

[Narin truly wasn't my mate. His mate was in an accident and my mother and the Goddess of destiny asked him to allow the mate bond between us so he could reject me. Fast forward to today and my true mate was revealed. Albot.] I couldn't help the smile spreading against my muzzle as I turn to look at my mate, a sense of feeling home.

[And then these two weird looking wolves run through our territory so we have yet to complete the process.] Albot groans as he slays beside me, his snout hidden deep in my fur.

[Wait. So no heat or anything yet?] Amberle asks.

[Nope we're fine.] I chuckle out.

[That's bullshit. Both Gem and I went through hell the day we had our new mate bond.] She rolls over and groans. I knew how bad Amberle and Geminie had it from their stories and I felt lucky. Albot and I could take our time with this process now.

Guys I don't normally do notes after I write a chapter and even then it's in the comments. With the virus I am temporarily off work wich means I will be focusing on editing more books and focusing on publishing kindle edition books. I have The Run going smoothly so I am going to put that on the back for now and then focus on editing the REJECTION SERIES (Starting with Amberle's story) to publish Asap.
