I bust the door open, "Jack!" I yell, but he's nowhere to be found. My eyes scan the room. The bathroom! He has to be there.

I knock, my heart racing, "Jack, you in here?" I cry out but still no answer, so I decide to get in. When I walk in, I feel like the ground is about to sweep me off my feet.

"Jack? Jack? Wake up! Oh God please wake up," I hold his face, crying.

He's lying on the floor, an empty box of sleeping pills in his hand, since most of them are in his system and on the bathroom floor. And there's blood on the floor too. Slowly, I grab his hand, turning it around. There are some cuts on it but thankfully, not deep enough to make him bleed out.

Shit shit shit. What do I do? Call 911? I search for my phone in my bag, which takes me longer than intended, since my hands are all shaky from shock. Finally, I find it, quickly dialing 911.

"Come on, pick up," I cry out as the phone rings. I hold Jack's hand, telling him it'll all be okay.

"911, what's your-" "I'M EMMA DAVIS AND MY FRIEND JACK OVERDOSED. HE'S 21," I interrupt the woman on the other side of the line, crying.

"Where are yo-" "NYU. Dorm number is...uh 22!" I interrupt her again. I really I got the number right.

"Okay Emma, I need you to stay calm. I'm sending help on your way. But you will have to make the victim throw up and make sure they don't choke on their own puke. And I will ask you to report back and not hang up. Do you understand?" The woman asks and I quickly shove my fingers down Jack's throat.

Soon enough he gags and throws up on the floor, next to him. "I did it!" I scream happily. "That's great-" "Jack!" I interrupt the woman again, hugging Jack. He doesn't hug me back, since he kind of can't. He's completely out of energy.

"Help is coming," I smile, hugging him still. "You're so stupid!" I cry out, "do you know how scared I was? Scared I was going to lose you!" I cry into his shoulder.

'I-I'm sorry-" his head falls back on the floor.

"Jack!?" I scream. No no no this is not happening! Oh god let this be a dream.

"What's wrong?" The woman on the phone asks me.

"I-I-He just collapsed back on the floor!" I tell her and she assures me, help will arrive soon. And it does. They lay him down on a carrier and put him into an ambulance, parked next to a familiar black car.

"Can I come with?" I ask, and the guy nods.

I hold Jack's hand and cry through the entire ride.

When we arrived to the hospital, they made me wait outside.

While waiting for the doctor, I see 2 familiar faces. "Emma?" Louise says, walking up to me. I get up, wiping my tears and hug her. Then, I hug Bob too, who looks terrified. I mean, can you blame him?

"Are you okay sweetie? Have they told you any news about our Jack?" Louise grabs my hand and I shake my head, unable to speak.

Just as we were about to sit down and sink into our seats, a doctor comes out. "Jack will be okay," he says and we all smile and hug each other.
