So that was it. The end of the Argo II legacy. And its captain was gone too. It was to painful to think about. The guy behind the jokes was gone, but his story seemed to linger in the air. I still couldn't believe we'd continue on our lives without him. I forced myself to think about something else. Think about-
" Hey." Annabeth said. I gave her a weak smile.
"Listen, this is hard for all if us, but we have to pull through. You know he wouldn't want you wasting your time mourning," Annabeth advised. I sighed.
"I still can't get over the fact that he's-" I choked on the last word.
"Come on Percy," Annabeth ordered. "Let's go." I sighed and stood up. We walked back to our cabins, trying to pull ourselves together and act like everything is okay. Maybe crack a joke. I decided to walk over to Hephaestus cabin. I got over there, afraid to open the door, when one of the kids from the Hephaestus cabin walked out. He looked at me and said,
"You want in?"
"Sure," I mumbled. "Thanks." He led me through the cabin to where he said Leo's area was. Even though I had never really visited the cabin before, I could tell something was missing. His work supplies where still strewn over the table, and a blueprint of the Argo II lay pinned upon wall. His flying ship. I couldn't hold in my grief, so I stormed out of the cabin, back into mine. I flopped down on my bed.
"This is all YOUR FAULT!" I screamed at my pillow. I punched it a few times to make sure it knew how angry I was. Then I collapsed and buried myself in my pillow.
"All. Your. Fault," I sobbed. "I didn't get to say goodbye, let alone apologize. And it's all my fault." And so then, with my tears worn thin, I drifted off to sleep. The next morning, when I woke up, there was a letter on my desk. It said:
Dear Percy,
Meet me at the perimeter.
Love, Sally.
A/N- Written by percabeth 243. I really wish Rick put Sally and Percy reuniting in the Blood of Olympus. I was really looking forward to that :(. But now I can write my own! It'll be the next Percy POV chapter :)
