Cesar's POV

Today's my big interview for a permanent job at the firm. San Francisco is beautiful but I'm not sure if I'd move here there's something missing.

My phone vibrates from the dresser, I wonder who's calling this early. I see Monse's name on the screen and rush to answer it.

"Hey," I greet her, trying to sound like I didn't just jump over my bed to answer her.

"Hey, I just want to wish you good luck with your interview. I know you'll get the job," Monse explains

"Thanks Mons, it means a lot," I reply as I try to figure out my tie.

"I'll talk to you later, I need to head out soon since I'm walking today," she reminds me. Dammit I forgot to ask Oscar to pick her up while I am in San Francisco.

"No, I've got you covered! Just wait ten minutes, you'll still be on time," I tell her quickly before hanging up and calling Oscar.

"What!" he snaps , shit I woke him up this won't be easy.

"Hey bro can you carry Monse to school while I'm gone. I really don't want her walking," I plead

"Okay," he responds

"Please for me ,I want her to be safe and- wait you said okay?" I'm so confused, it's never this easy.

"Yes, that's your girl and future wife if we're being honest. I have to keep her safe while you aren't around. Kill that interview bro. I'm going to get her now," Oscar explains. He must really have a soft spot for Monse.

Monse's POV

I have a few minutes before I have to leave to get to work early. I grab my bags ready to walk to school. I head out the door and see Oscar in his Impala. When Cesar said he had it covered I didn't expect it to be Oscar.

"Come on Monse , Cesar's going to be mad at me if you're late," Oscar yells and I start walking to the car.

"Uh hi, thanks for carrying me" I shrug as I get into the car.

"Hey, no problem," he responds focusing on the road.

"You don't have to worry about me tomorrow," I mumbled

"Nah, Cesar isn't here so I need to make sure you're safe," he explains

"We're just friends and its Freeridge ," I roll my eyes.
