Nova's POV
We sweat as we fall back on the bed
Exhausted beyond limits
He gets up gently and splashes his face with water
The air is chilly but our bodies are on fire...
"Well" I say as I wear my black dress back
Ivar sighs and stands near the window
"Did you love her?" I ask hesitantly
All my ears wanted to hear were the words No...
"Yes" He replies
And I can hear my heart cracking within

Ivar's POV
I look at her sad face and then back at the moon, I could not bear to see that sadness on that flawless face, knowing that I am the reason for that sadness
"Why did you love her?" She asks as her voice cracks
She tries to be so strong through everything, never breaking even for a second
She never lets the crown slips
"Nova, I'll be honest with you" I say as I cross my arm while she fixes her gaze onto me
"When I left you and France, I wanted to avenge the death of my mother Aslaug" I say with a lump in my throat, "I freed a slave named Freydis in York and took her with me to Kattegat, and just like every King needs a Queen. I needed her" I say as I sigh
"You needed her, but did you want her?" She asks while breaking
"Yes" I say and I hear Nova sobbing but I just cannot look at her.
"I fell in love with her" I say, "For all I knew, I would have never comeback to France. For me we were over Nova" I say
