You were laying in the hammock that was hanging in the back yard of the cabin you stay at every winter and summer with your best friends. It was a chilly summer evening you could see the boys building a fire. You could hear the girls talking in the kitchen & taking shots, you just stared up at the sky. You were feeling a little down you couldn't put your finger on why it was just one of those kinda days where your anxiety kicked in. The girls walked past you to go join the boys at the fire Ronnie stopped before continuing to the fire
"You coming to the fire?"
"Maybe in a bit"
"You good?"
"Yeah I'm just thinking, and relaxing" she gave you a concerned look
"Okay, you better come join us" she said with a smile
"okay" you said with a giggle, she giggled and walked towards the fire. you went back to looking at the sky. Your mind wandered to Jake, you had the biggest crush on him. He was so sweet, he was always flirting with you but he flirted with everyone. You were smiling when you heard someone coming your way. You looked over noticing Jake he was going in the house
"Jake"
"Yeah Love?"
"Can you grab me a blanket, I'm cold"
"Yeah, but you wouldn't be cold if you came to the fire"
"Jake, I don't feel like socializing, ya know?" his eyes soften he knew about your anxiety and knew not to question it
"Okay yeah, I'm gonna change then I'll be back with your blanket" he was back shortly with a pillow and a blanket
"Move over love"
"Jake you just helped build a fire, go enjoy yourself"
"I want to lay with you and look at the stars, now scoot over" he laughed
"Jake you don't have to"
"I want to y/n, now make some room so I can keep you warm" he said with a smirk you moved over making room for Jake to lay next to you he climbed in, you immediately slid into the side of jake
"whoa, babe if you wanted to cuddle you could have asked along time ago." he chuckled
"It's called gravity" you giggled as Jake put his arm under your neck "Put your head on my chest, so we can get comfy" you did as you were told
"Better?"
"much, do you want to talk about it"
"Nothing to talk about just a funk"
"Okay, I'm here if you need to talk" you guys heard giggles coming from the fire you felt jake's hand start to play with the ends of your hair "You smell really nice" jake mumbled "It's lavender... it is so pretty out tonight"
"yeah I have a pretty good view" he said brushing your hair behind your ear you smiled "you can really see all the stars"
"Sure can, and lucky me, I get to look at the prettiest girl in the world" you giggled "You are so corny" jake scoffed pretending to be upset
"well, in that case, I'm just gonna get up" he shifted pretending to leave "Jacob you know I love you so stop being so dramatic"
"Oh, you love me huh?"
"Yes Jake, you are such a dork, glad to know you love me back"
"Oh I love you, more than you know" he said kissing the top of your head. your love fest was interrupted by Josh
"Oh look at the lovebirds, I didn't know love would blossom on this trip. About time Jakey"
"Shut-up Josh" Jake stated annoyed Josh just giggled and went in to grab a beer. Jake started to massage and scratch your scalp, you let out a soft moan. you felt Jake tense and he stopped moving his hand. "Why did you stop, it felt good" you said lifting your head looking at Jake who had a pink tent to his cheek "Are you blushing Jake?" he brought his hand to his face hiding his cheeks, you took your hand up to his hand and pulled it away from his face.
"Stop it y/l/n"
"Why Jakey, I want to see your face" you got closer to his face still trying to get his hand away. His other hand started to tickle your side, you started to laugh uncontrollably "Jake stop" you said breathlessly you shifted your body almost falling out the hammock Jake grabbed your hips pulling you against him "Whoa, that was close" Jake said with a chuckle, you were now blushing at how close your faces were. "You are so beautiful" Jake said just above a whisper you looked down to hide your face, you felt Jake's hand make contact with your cheek lifting your face up so you were looking at him "Now I want to see your face, babe" he smiled a toothy grin "Jake" you said quietly "Yeah Love"
"Kiss me" he didn't hesitate to grab your face and connect your lips. You both smiled into the kiss you separated at the sound of a whistle coming from the screen door you hid your face in the crook of Jake's neck trying to hide the embarrassment from Josh catching you "Oh fuck off Josh" Jake snapped
"Oh y/n sounds like someone is frustrated in a sexual way" Josh snickered you felt Jake sigh deeply and tense up you started to giggle against Jake's neck you brought your lips to Jake's ear "fuck him"
"Josh if you could make your way far away from us so I can continue making out with Jake, that would be great" you sassily stated "Oh Jake looks like the feelings are mutual" he laughed as he made his way to the fire. You could hear him tell the rest of the group and cheering and whistling followed. You giggled "What a bunch of losers" you stated looking at Jake with a smile he looked so happy and content "They are so lame aren't they"
"sure are" you winked and placed a quick kiss on his lips laying your head back on his chest with the biggest smile plastered on your face "Jake"
"Hmm"
"Will you massage my scalp again please"
"Yes but only if you go on a hike with me tomorrow, just the two of us?"
"Like a date? Are you asking me out?" you pretended to be shocked
"Yes shithead that's exactly what I'm doing" you could sense the smile on his face
"Of course Jake, I don't just make out with random guys" you said matter of factly he chuckled and started to massage you scalped again "good" he mumbled and you let out a breathy sigh. You guys let a comfortable silents take over and soon your breathing steady and turned in to soft snores.
