( CURIOUS ELLIE )

TO CALM ELLIE'S active nerves, Kaia and Marisa agreed to have a movie night in Marisa's dorm. The three of them built a fort with pillows and blankets and set out bowls of chips, popcorn, M&M's and some soda. Kaia set up the TV and they all decided on a movie to watch and sat down in their pillow and blanket fort.

"It's moments like this that make me glad that you don't have a roommate," Ellie said as she took a handful of popcorn from the bowl.

"I like the extra space," Marisa said while shrugging her shoulders.

"Will you two shut up? The movie is starting," Kaia said, lightly scolding the blonde and the redhead.

The three of them were quiet as they watched the film they agreed on and ate the snacks they had prepared for the occasion. As the movie went on, they slowly started to fall asleep, one by one, until the only one left awake was Ellie. After a while, the movie was finished and the screen displayed the main menu of the film and Ellie took the disk out of the DVD player and put it back in its case. She gathered the empty bowls and left the dorm room so she could carry them back to the kitchen. When she got to the kitchen, she heard voices down the hall but ignored it as she washed and dried the bowls and put them back on the shelf where they were taken from. As she was leaving the kitchen, she saw Mal and the others walking down the hallway and she picked up her pace.

"Ellie!" Mal's voice called out and the blonde closed her eyes tightly as she stopped walking and turned around.

"Hey, Mal. Evie, Carlos, Jay," Ellie said with a tight smile.

"I'm assuming the kitchen is open since you just walked out?" Mal asked.

"Yeah. Did you need something?" Ellie asked.

"I found this recipe for these cookies just lying around in our dorm and I wanted to try to make them since it has such a high rating."

"Well, you should be able to find everything you need for the cookies inside there."

"From what I see, I think we already have everything we need right here in front of us," Jay said with his arms crossed and a charming smirk on his face.

Ellie nervously fidgeted with her hands as she tried to walk away but the purple haired girl stopped her once again.

"This is the first time I've seen you without your gloves on," she said and a chill went down Ellie's spine as she tried to come up with an explanation.

"I don't always wear them," she said. "My hands get cold easily so I just keep then with me."

She mentally kicked herself at the lame excuse she had just come up with and tried not to let any of the four villain kids see the uneasiness on her face. She had no idea what Mal could've told them or what Mal even knew about her powers but she was hoping that it wasn't much, although nothing would've been preferable.

"Well, I guess we'll see you tomorrow," Mal said with a sweet smile and Ellie smiled back.

"It was nice seeing you," Carlos said and Ellie nodded shortly.

"I'll see you guys around and I hope those cookies turn out as good as far as the ratings go," she said before walking away from the four kids.

When she got back to Marisa's dorm, both the redhead and Kaia were still fast asleep in the pillow fort they built. She made sure all the lights were off and made herself comfortable before falling asleep herself.

WHILE ON HER WAY to the upcoming Tourney game, Ellie stopped at her locker to put her stuff away and saw Mal and Ben talking to each other. Mal was holding a plastic bag with the cookies she made and was offering some to the young prince and future king. As Carlos was walking by, she tapped his shoulder and he quickly turned around.

"How did those cookies turn out?" she asked, genuinely curious about the snacks they were on their way to making the night before.

"They turned out pretty good. Mal thought it would be nice to offer some to Ben," Carlos said.

"I guess this just proves that just because of who your parents are, you don't have to be like them," Ellie said while shrugging her shoulders, although she still didn't one hundred percent trust Mal.

Evie, Carlos and Jay on the other hand, she didn't exactly have a reason to be cautious of them.

"What makes you so sure?" Carlos asked.

"I'm not. It's something called taking a leap of faith. That's what Ben did and that's why we're here," Ellie said while shutting her locker.

Carlos didn't say anything as he joined his friends and Ellie looked for hers. If Ben was able to trust them while he was well on his way to becoming king, then maybe she could slowly let go of the thoughts that were eating away at her and co-exist with them.
