A BLAST OF ENERGY WAS SHOT OUT OF THE ROOM and everybody gasped as Jane tried to gain control over the wand. "Child, what are you doing?!"
"If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself!" Jane retaliated but she couldn't get the wand under control.
She tried to say the magic words but the wand was unstable as Mal practically wrestled the girl for it. Pretty soon, Mal was the one holding the wand and everybody stepped away from her while Ben tried talking to her.
"Mal, give me the wand," he said calmly.
"Stand back," Mal said loudly.
Evie, Jay and Carlos ran in through the doors and Ellie slipped through the crowd with Kaia and Marisa right behind her.
"It's okay," the boy said.
"Ben, I said stand back!" Mal shouted.
"I told you so!" Audrey said dryly but stepped back when Mal pointed the wand at her.
Ellie took her gloves off and her hands were completely white from the thin layer of ice. She prepared herself for anything if Mal decided to use the wand but she decided to let Ben try his way, love spell or not.
"You really wanna do this?"he asked.
"We have no choice, Ben. Our parents─" Mal started but her sentence was cut off.
"Your parents made their choice, now you make yours," Ben said and Mal stood in her place.
She looked at Ben, his parents, Fairy Godmother, she even turned around to look at Ellie who was still slowly freezing.
