Elyza and Raven both headed down the stairs careful not to make any noises.

Raven reached the shutter and carefully and quietly opened it and checked if there was anyone around. There wasn't.

They got out of the shop undetected.

They started walking towards the grocery store. The streets were quiet.. Too quiet.

As they were turning round a corner, suddenly a man came in front of them. Both the girls yelped in surprise. Well.. Raven just cursed.

The man was advancing towards them and Raven was panicking so Elyza spoke,

"Hey hey. We don't want any trouble. We are just passing by. You can be on your way and we can be on ours"

The man didn't reply. He just snarled and started to walk faster with a limp.

"Woah woah. Slow down dude" Raven said while tugging Elyza away. She didn't feel good about this..

The man didn't listen.

Raven got Elyza out of his arm's reach just in time as he was about to grab her and they ran.

After a few mins both of them stopped to catch their breath.

"What the hell was wrong with that guy!?" Raven said shockingly while gesturing towards the direction they came from.

"I don't know. It's like he couldn't understand us.. And he was acting weird" Elyza said confused.

"Shit just keeps getting weird" Raven said exasperated.

"Yeah. Let's keep moving, we are almost there" Elyza replied.

They both started walking again until they reached their destination.

The grocery store was trashed. Glasses was broken. It looked like a elephant had stepped inside... But they saw there was still stuff that they could use so they went inside the half broken door and a bell jingled.

"Pick up any of the canned stuff you find. Nasty, but non-perishable. Will last" Raven said while looking around.

"Alright" Elyza murmured while looking around herself.

"Ah. These expired things smell like shit" Raven thought aloud while fake gagging. Partly.

Elyza rolled her eyes but also nodded and kept on wandering around.

They were putting the things they found in their bags when the door bell jingled.

Both the girls slightly jumped after being in the quiet for so long.

A guy stumbled in. Panting.

"Woah What the fuck dude?!" Raven asked irritated.

"They-They are chasing me. They'll-They'll kill me. You-You have to shut the doors!" The guy said while breathing heavily.

"Who's chasing you? Why would they kill you?! What the hell are you trying to say man?!" Elyza asked concerned.

"The-The creatures. They-They ate my friends. They-they-" Before he could finish his sentence someone stumbled in the store behind him and jumped him making them both fall to the ground.

"No no no. Get off me! Get off! Aaahhh" He screamed as he stabbed the person on top of him with a knife he had straight in the brain.

The person went still but the damage was already done. He was bleeding from his shoulders. Where the person had bit him.

Both the girls were standing frozen in shock at the display.

Before any of them could say anything, 2 more people came in and attacked the guy on the ground.

They started ripping him apart. Piece by piece. They were devouring him.

They tore into his guts and started eating from it still not aware of the girls that had jumped back in shock from when the 3 people had come in and attacked the man.

"What the..." and Elyza really shouldn't have said that. Or anything. Because now the creatures' eyes were all on her.

Elyza froze in fear.

Before they could complete their advance towards her, Raven grabbed her hand and tugged her hard towards her side of the door and out. And they ran. Ran so fast like their lives depended on it. And it did.

After some painful minutes of running at full speed without stopping, they stopped when they reached the apartment.

They were heaving. And Elyza spoke,

"What.. the actual FUCK!!" she exclaimed in utter shock and fear.

"Please tell me that wasn't what I thought it was" she added while breathing heavily.

"From a Nuclear Apocalypse to a Zombie Apocalypse. Great. Just Fucking Great!" Raven scoffed in disbelief still trying to catch her breath.

"Whatever virus outbreak they were treating, looks like it wasn't the flu afterall..."  Elyza said while deep in thought.

"Yeah no shit" Raven murmured.

"Thank you" Elyza said out of the blue.

"Huh?" Raven asked confused.

"For saving my life. Again" Elyza said along with a small smile.

"One. Fresh count from a fresh universe! But I have saved your life about... too many times to count. But hey who's counting?" Raven replied with a small smile of her own.

"Yeah yeah whatever Reyes" Elyza rolled her eyes with a smile knowing that's Raven's way of accepting a thank you.

Sorry. Short chapter! But I didn't have any ideas on what to add as the next chapter picks up right after this one so..

But don't worry! The next chapter's a big one so be ready!

Also I'm thinking I should update this story everyday as I'm too impatient and want you all to read it and I'll be able to get the chapters out on time too...!
