Introduction to the family

It was nearing dusk. It had already started to get dark.

Elyza was calmly sitting near the place Lincoln would arrive. Raven was pacing muttering things about Lincoln she couldn't understand but she was sure they were not pleasant. Their argument long forgotten.

They were waiting for 4 hours now and Madison had joined them too. Mainly because of how late it was getting but she didn't voice her concerns. Not just yet.

Elyza was growing tired of Raven pacing so she decided to put an end to it, "Raven. Jesus! Would you stop already? You're gonna leave burn marks if you keep on going like this" she said with a exasperated face. Tired herself of waiting.

"He should be here by now! What the fuck's taking him so fucking long?! I'm tired of just standing here! My legs hurt!" Raven finally said loud enough for people around her to understand.

"Well the last part could be fixed if you fucking stopped pacing and sat down!" Elyza said clearly annoyed.

"He. Should. Fucking. Be here by now!! What if he's dead?! My geniusness! My food!!" Raven said with pint of worry covering her face.

Madison was observing this banter back and forth with a amused expression but with a grimace too. They certainly did not know how to use language.. But they seemed like they knew each other very well and seemed pretty close.. Before she could think more a voice spoke up;

"Your food and your 'geniusness' is your biggest concern? Good to see where your priorities lie" Lincoln spoke up from behind her with no hint of actual hurt. Just a smirk and two big bags.

Raven jumped and said, "Damn you grounders" she said with a scowl and continued, "Is all my food okay? My stuff?!" Raven asked with a actual serious expression. Madison was just confused at the term Raven used for Lincoln.

"And here I was thinking you were gonna be happy that I was alive. Because I almost wasn't" Lincoln finished with rolling his eyes.

"Wait what does that mean? What happened Linc??" Elyza finally spoke up after enjoying the other two argue.

"Well.. The route we took was crowded by walkers. Atleast 100 I think. I don't know where they wandered from but they did and almost blocked me in the middle of them. I couldn't drive past them so I reversed and hoped that I can get outside of the herd, I barely did, had to run over a few lot. You can see the remains on the back of the car", he grimaced but continued, "Anyways, I took a different, longer but safer, route. And hence, my delay" he explained in short.

"I'm glad you're okay big guy", she said with a smile, "Now. My stuff!!" and now a childishness on her face.

Elyza nodded that she was glad too.

Before Raven jumped Lincoln to check her stuff, Madison spoke, "I think you should check your stuff when we are on the yacht and away from the shore Raven. You too Elyza. It's very dark now and I can already see walkers coming towards us because of all the noise" Madison said with a amused but serious face.

The group nodded and headed towards the yacht. Elyza immediately started feeling sadness and heartbreak. No matter how much she distracted herself or how much she hid it. Inside she was breaking everyday knowing that the person she gave her heart to doesn't even remember who she is or who she is herself.

Finally they reached the yacht and climbed up. Madison spoke again, "As it's already pretty late and you are all quite tired, I would suggest we all go to sleep and do introductions tomorrow morning. I will show you 3 to your rooms. How does that sound for now?" Madison asked the new people on the yacht.

"Yeah.. That sounds great actually. I'm dying to close my eyes. I'll see everyone here who I don't know in the morning so I know you. Night!" Raven said to the people sitting around she didn't know and got ready to follow Madison.
