It had been 20 days since Chris' little confession. All the people were getting along well. Chris now even took the 'grounders' side when Madison or Travis said or did something. Unsurprisingly they were not happy with this behavior from their son. But Chris didn't care. Because even after all this, they still acted as if he would break if they scolded him too much or said the wrong thing. They never gave him a chance. He even tried to reason with them but, mostly Madison, dismissed it saying he had been spending time with the others too much. Which was something that didn't even make sense. So he didn't try again too.

He also trained on how to shoot along with Nick with Raven teaching them. Nick was right... She did have a patience of a overblown balloon. But somehow, he found that good. Because even though she got annoyed fast, she had a reason. If any one of them weren't paying attention or not grasping something she had been teaching for the past 45 minutes, well now that was their fault too. But thanks to her, they both were improving at a impressive pace. Nick could actually hit what he wanted to hit, even though he was way off, but he still hit it and Chris didn't get that shaken up from the recoil and the noise.

Madison and Travis had tried to interfere saying that he was too young to touch a gun and such but Raven being Raven, had pointed the gun at them and had told them to back off and leave them be. That it was Chris' decision and not theirs. And Chris respected that. One of the many reasons he loved this group.

They did all the practice at the makeshift target practice Raven had made near the front of the yacht where there was the most space because you couldn't always find walker infested beaches now can you? Not only them, but also Raven, Elyza and Anya used that target practice too. And it would be your lucky day if Raven somehow managed to rile up Anya enough to have a shooting match with her. And even luckier when Elyza joined them. It was a sight to see. Rounds of bullets firing and all hitting bullseye.

Leaving training, he found out that the group were actually good people. Raven was always joking, mostly inappropriate or teasing Elyza and Alicia, also inappropriate. She and Nick had a thing about how uncomfortable she can make him by doing that. Or she'd be tinkering with anything she could get her hands on, making bombs or typing code like a professional on any laptop she found that she somehow managed to charge. She was the most genius person he had met so that's why when she once had said that in another life she managed to build her own drop pod and came to earth from space in it, he didn't doubt her.

Elyza was cool too. She joked, not as excessively as Raven or inappropriately. She always thought about everyone else first then herself. She was smart as hell too and spent most of her time sparring with Lincoln early in the morning or late at night. He got up sometimes at dawn to see them. Yes. He kind-of has a habit of getting up early, not at crack of dawn all the time, but earlier than he did.

And also, he got to see more than know that Elyza and Alicia were ridiculously in love. At first, when he hated them, he didn't really see it, but now, that's all he sees. I mean c'mon, that's all anyone would see. And they were kinda cute.

Also speaking of Alicia, she changed. It's not like he talked to her a lot before but he knows that the scared girl who just wanted to go to college and get away from her parents is no longer. Now there is this strong, brave and smart girl who doesn't take shit from anyone and can defeat anyone. Literally. She also doesn't show always what she's feeling in front of him but she's warming up to him too.

Lincoln was also someone he liked too. He was level headed and always stopped the girls from bickering. He was like the mom friend. He was quite and always kept to himself but he was open and joked a little when he was around his friends. And he also seemed to know too much about fishing... Like why would a doctor and a fighter know anything about fishing?! But he did and he taught the others, who were willing to actually listen, how to fish and how to see if the fishes were infected. Because the fishes were rotting. He was a great fighter too. He mostly spent his time sparring too. He didn't like guns. Something about stupid beliefs stuck with him he said. But maybe someday he had added.
