Ch. 17

 I woke up with a throbbing headache. I couldn't move because everything hurt. I looked over to my side and saw Sam gazing at me with his beautiful hazel eyes. "How are you feeling?" he whispered,

 "Horrible" i let out a giggle. "Thank you for last night"

 "Anything for you" he kissed my cheek with his warm lips. "I'm gonna go make breakfast" he smiled and made his way downstairs.

 I'm sure how i managed to get up since every part of my body was killing me but i got downstairs to see Sam making pancakes. "Thanks" i said as he handed me a plate full of pancakes

 We both ate in silence. Not a word was spoken about last night. I didn't really want to talk about it but i didn't want this awkward silence between us. "So i heard basketball season is starting soon" i looked up at Sam.

 "Yeah"

 "You excited?" i asked.

 "Why are you asking me this, Maya?" He dropped his fork and knife making a loud noise.

 "Sorry, it was just-"

 "No, I'm sorry, i shouldn't be acting like this towards you" he cut me off.

 "I'm just upset, you know?" he looked down

 "Why?"

 "Because no matter what i do, i can never do it right. I mean last night if i was there, none of that would have happened to you. I always screw everything up, every chance i have with you, i fuck it up. Maya if you only knew what you mean to me, i don't know what to do anymore, i just-"

 "I do" i cut him off this time. "I see you trying...and...to be honest i don't know why you try so hard because i keep pushing you away-"

 And there it was. I most passionate kiss I have ever had.
