Sure, maybe it was a messy breakup. Maybe one of you cheated. Maybe it was that one of you was more focused on yourselves than on your relationship. Maybe you're a dog person and you found out he's a cat person. Maybe you just weren't compatible. And if it did end badly, who's to say you can't forgive and forget eventually?
