             Fitz POV

He had been waiting by the bathrooms for three minutes when Sophie arrived.

Instead of coming around the corner like a normal person, she jumped out the bathroom window. Nearly giving Fitz a heart attack.

"Sophie! Why can't you go around like a normal person?"

She shrugged "Because I'm Sophie Foster"

"Okay, let's get going." Fitz says, rolling his eyes a little.

"Where are we going?" Sophie asks following him away from the bathroom.

"You'll see." He says, grinning. Sophie looks confused, but she keeps following him.

Soon they reach their decision. A small private balcony looking over the forest.

"Wow" She breaths.

"Like it?"

"It's beautiful" Sophie says. He's tempted to say, "So are you" but saves himself the embarrassment.

"Glad you like it. So what was it that you wanted to tell me?"

"Right, you said that you felt like we met before"

"Right"

"Well... you were right. We have met before."

"Care to tell me when?" He asks, curious.

"I want to see if you can figure it out first."

"Fine, can you at least tell me a quote?"

"Okay, let's see... got it! The quote is "I will see you, but I doubt you will see me." She says, waiting for it to sink in.

Fitz's eyes go wide.

"Elizabeth?" He asks warily.

She nodded. "Yep, nice to see you again."

"God I'm stupid." Fitz says, clutching the railing.

"No, your not. It was five years ago." Sophie said, placeing her hand on top of his.

"Easy for you to say. Why Elizabeth anyway?"

"Easy, my name is Sophie Elizabeth Foster"

"Don't you mean Ruewen?"

"Nope, I'm adopted."

"I didn't know."

"There is a lot you don't know about me" she says.

"Okay, let's start with why you were in the woods that night."

"I was looking for a friend of mine."

"Who?"

"A nice woman named Calla" she said, barely choking out the name.

"Did you find her?"

"Ya, but it was too late. By the time I found her she was dead" tears forming in her eyes.

"I'm so sorry. How did she die?"

"At the time there was a rebellion going on against the royal family"

"Ya, my dad told me about that. The Black Swan I think?" Earning a small glare from Sophie.

"There were two rebel groups. There was the Black Swan and the Never seen. Many thought that it was the Black Swan that was the bad people."

"How do you know that they aren't bad people?" Fitz asked. Sophie looked him in the eye.

"Because I was one of the leaders." Fitz stared.

"Really? Anyone else I should know about?"

"Dex, Marella, Tam, and Lihn"

"So how did Calla die?"

"The Neverseen murdered her," Sophie said quietly. A few tears falling.

"I'm sorry" was the only thing he could think to say. Wiping a few tears off with his thumb.

"It's not your fault"

"I'm still sorry"

"Thank you." She said, looking him in the eye.

"Want to talk more tomorrow?"

"Sure," she says, wiping the tears off.

"Where should we meet?"

"What about Havenfield?"

"Will your parents be okay with that?"

"They should be fine. But let's meet by the cliffs, that way we would have Grady glaring the whole time"

"I will see you tomorrow morning then. Thank you for telling me about this"

"Of course"

"Have a great night" Fitz said, stepping back.

"You to"

"Coming?" He asks, noticing that Sophie didn't move.

"Ya just give me a minute." She says staring off into the distance.

"Are you okay?" He asks, stepping forward and taking her hand in his.

"I'll be fine," Sophie says, looking him in the eye.

"Okay," Fitz said, walking back to the party. Every once and a while looking over his shoulder to check in Sophie. She had turned back and stared into the distance for a while before finally going back to the party.
